My point wasn't about eating pork directly.

The flu started from the mistreatment of the animals at a PORK FACTORY. In order to keep up the demand and maximise profits from the digusting habit of eating meat, in this case, pork, animals are mistreated.

Any living being, human or animal, will get sick when in bad conditions. That's how the world works. If people didn't eat meat, and there wasn't a massive demand for cheap meat, these animals wouldn't be kept in bad conditions and we would NOT be having this problem.

So either way you fuckers are to blame.

more like 60 deaths in Mexico because of the swine flu plus another 152 deaths over there that they suspect to be due to swine flu.

the baby that died because of swine flu was in the United States.

lol my job told me if we have any flu symptoms to not go to work and go see a doctor asap. one of my coworker/friend came back from Mexico a month ago. and she caught a flu but thank god it wasn't the swine flu. cause i was like fuck if she caught it for sure i caught it. we always share drinks and coffees and bottles of water.

Oh come on, it's like blaming vegetarians for buying vegetables from farmers who use pesticides that cause Parkinsons, MS and birth defects. Fertilizers seep into the ground and into underground aquifer's, destroying drinking water and habitats of nearby animals.

Of course you could buy organic and avoid all these problems. You can also buy organic meat as well which are treated and slaughtered humanely.

All people who use and thus support pesticide-laden produce have a share in the responsibility.

You can also buy organic meat as well which are treated and slaughtered humanely.

Organic means no antibiotics and better feed. That's good for your health, but it generally does not mean much for the animal. All too often conditions are not that much better for them on "organic" farms. It's a case-by-case thing.

And forget about chickens. "Free-range," and "cage-free" means almost anything they want it to mean. In the US, no organization regulates these terms. Often birds have a few feet of grass but otherwise are kept in crowded sheds. The males are killed immediately at birth, often left to suffocate in large plastic bags.

In the end, raising animals for food on a large scale can never be a humane affair.

Jokerman we have free-range eggs here similar shituation with the regulations but the RSPCA openly supports places that are doing the right thing, and those eggs/chicken I buy. And I'm prety damn sure they wouldn't support those producers if they let chicks suffocate in a plastic bag.

That's good, but only by visiting a farm can one know for sure how the animals are being raised and killed. Factory farms, whether organic or not, are less likely to be run humanely. Family farms much better.
