I would also question your friendship with the dude seeing as you're whining so much about him.

I made one thread? that's not "so much", is it? Anyway - who are you to question my friendship with him? I have a good friendship and it will remain as such. Furthermore, i highly doubt that one can be never be angry or a bit upset at the actions of even a close friend.

Please! Calcuo and ill-matic, stay away from eachother. I can already feel the heat, and ill-matic knows why.

evidently, although the guys a cheater, he seems pretty smart, the 2000 words in the 800 word essay shit was clever, my advice to u is do what he does if u want better grades.

Exactly. I am surprised his teacher didn't catch on, though. You know, if the teachers really cared about the world limit, they would pay attention to the number of words. As is proven in this case, they don't care!

I garantee they will get further in life then all the do gooders.

The truth right there. Did you guys notice that the geeks and nerds never become anything? They always find the boring job that pays a so-so salary. The smart people get somewhere because they are experienced in the real world, not school.

If you're going to mention Bill Gates, think of this. He became rich not because of his math, history, or some other subject, but because of how he ran his company. He was brilliant in designing something that everyone wanted. Lets say he sucked at marketing and holding his business together. He wouldn't be anywhere today, if that was the case.

He designed Windows. How much math does that really require? Most programming languages require knowledge of basic numbers and math. Nothing more.

Pennypacker, who is ill-matic?

He seems to know who I am, so level the playing field.

Btw, would've PM'd you but it's acting up again.

ill-matic, your location is not listed so I'm assuming you're not in the United States.

But in the states, grades mean a bit, but not everything. You can tell who the cheaters are and arent when tests like the SAT's come around. If the 25th guy in the class is getting higher marks than the 5th ranked guy, colleges will see that.

there were 2 smart people in my class,me and some chick.

during tests,id let everyone i possibly can copy, first one dude would copy off me,then the dude behind him copies, then the dudes beside him copy, then the whole fuckin class would copy. this chick would hide her paper like it was a dick made outta gold. at the end, even if she still got higher grades than me, i was more respected and she was a nobody loser.she would get jealous even though she made this into a competition and still got higher.

some people take this shit too serious. shit if u can copy without doing all the work then go for it. i hate these people that make this into some kinda competition.

like the wrestler eddie guererror says, lie, cheat and steal.

that will get you somewhere. following rules will get you nowhere.life is too short to follow rules

In college I used to sell a copy of my completed assignments to some geezer in my class for £10 a pop, he used to change them a little and we never got caught.

I get some cash, he gets a good grade, everyones happy :thumb:

being a cheater got me through grade 11 programming class. I like computers, but fuck it was a 9am course and i'm half asleep at that time so i copied off my friend beside me. The teacher once wrote "do your own work some time" and i got an 80% on the project. Legit people finish last~

^^^^ Glockmatic, I did something similar in my keyboarding class. Someone would do the project and we would change the names at the top. That way, one would have to do it, and everyone could benefit since everyone was supposed to do the same thing.

bigmack, props for being a respectable man. For what you did, I am even going to rep your post. That's my kinda person.

I really can't say. He'd kill me if I did...:(

To me the whole point of going to school is to get a peice of paper. The end result is graduating. You have to ask your self "Do The Ends Justify The Means Before You Decide To Cheat?" If they do by all means cheat... if they don't then don't cheat... Nobody likes a cheat and everbody hates having to cheat but everybody cheats in life in one way, shape, form, or another because somtimes you have to cheat. You just have to know, when to cheat, and how to cheat. :)

I guess I do want to throw in one thing to the people who are all like "i hate people who care about school so much." ok, well take something you care about a lot, maybe a sport. would you want to be going against teams day in and day out who were on steroids? that's how the "nerds" feel.

I'm sorry but i realy have to vent my frustrations in here.

We recently had our half yearly examinations, and I am in my last year of school - so naturally this year is a very important year and all my marks mean a lot.

A good friend of mine cheated in this way:
1) Teacher said pens down. Everyone put their pens down. A lot had unhappy looks on their faces because they ran out of time to finish or some shit like that. Anyway he kept writing for an extra 5 minutes when he wasn't supposed to. I know 5 mins isnt much, but under exam conditions [with all the pressure and your mind rapidly thinkingg] you can do a lot in 5 minutes. Basically he put himself at an unfair advantage - and it turns out he came like 6th in the grade. Not fair.
2) Did the same in the geography exam - came 4th.

But the thing is it doesn't end with exams. Whenever we have an essay from our own research [doing it at hoime etc..] there is a set word limit with which we must abide. For religion it was approx 800 words, my friend did 2000 words. Now i know it seems that he put more effort in but if they wanted 2000 then they would have asked for it. Again he puts himself at an advantage. He did it for extension history aswell ; word limit = 1200 words max yet he writes 2500 and ends up coming first. Im sorry but this pisses me the fuck off. I struggled to follow the word limit - cutting out essential parts etc, yet when he just throws all this shit together with no consideration for the word limit he still comes first.

This sounds real catty but in the final year of school where i live competition is everything. IKt's not so much your mark you get, it is more your rank. And this bullshit my friend is doing just puts him at an unfair advantage. Doesnt it?

any thoughts?
Oh fuck off lol.

How are you supposed to remember the antiderivatives to all the arc trig functions and a dozen formulas for a test? You shouldn't be graded on knowing that shit, but on knowing how to use it. When I'm at work and I forget how much hard salami to put on a 12 inch hoagie, no one comes over and gives me a minus one, I fucking look it up. There are no restrictions in life, so why should there be in school?

He's not the ass for using every opportunity to get ahead, you're the ass for not. Now I don't agree with the ocverachieving with the 2500 word shit. I'm against extra effort and kissing ass, and that does both.

well just do the same as your friend, and if the teacher asks u just say "my friend did the same, then why does he gets away with it?" anyway school is bs and about 95% of the stuff u learn is usless so as long as u can make money in the real world then u are set

^^^^..no, that's snitching. If you're caught with something, don't tell the teache someone else is doing it too. You're only making things worse. If you're already in trouble, there's no point in getting someone else in trouble as well. Its not as if things will go any better for you.
