Has anyone else experienced this before? When you friends want to do things for you that THEY like to do? Or they buy you gifts that THEY like? What's up with that? I mean, yeah, I know you may not be into the same things as I, but that doesn't mean you can't do it for me? Stupid people :fury: :(

lol. Kinda like that episode of Simpsons where Homer buys Marge a bowling ball?

I know, just like that. It sucks :(

LOL, I hate when people do that though. I don't know why, that makes no sense at all to me.

Like a friend of mines is really into the whole religious thing, but I'm not at all. However, I know she is. So, if I were to buy her a gift, I'd go to a Christian book store to get her something....you know? I wouldn't buy her the Kama Sutra video or anything :) hehehehe

or maybe your so closed minded there trying to hint to you that you need to do things they enjoy doing as well! who knows i dont tend to worry about what people buy me anyhow its kind of trivial and materialistic in many regards, hell i dont expect nothing from my friends because im not going to buy you anything for your birthday anyhow, we may go out for some beers but thats as far as it goes. Being a friend is the best gift you can give anyone really.

yeah me and my friends we have this sort of arrangement where basically we don't buy eachother presents. as far as presents go, i dunno. i've never recieved a gift that was so out of place for me that it made me wonder what the person was thinking. well of course when i was a kid and got like socks and boxers i would start questioning the chain of thoughts behind it but i never said nothing though :p

i buy gifts for my closest family and they buy gifts for me of course, and i normally get something i want, need, or need i just don't know i need it.

shits sounds selfish. ain't too surprising or rare.... but then again i might know too many selfish folks. them taking you to do the things THEY like, when THEY want, or rather whenever THEY feel like it.

of course it might not be that bad. next time you're with this person try inviting them to do something you want to do. a good friend will ride with ya, just like you'd ride with them.

but a selfish son'bitch might suddenly wanna stay home all the time. they might stop callin you to go places. hell, they might stop hanging with your ass all together.

it's like i said in some thread, some where, on some day. some folks treat you a certain way cause you're a benefit to them. so you being with them and doing what they want might be a BENEFIT for THEM. a one way relationship see what i'm saying? they might not give a fuck what you think.

well if you didnt have friends you wouldnt have this problem . so now you know that having friends isnt all that , so i reckon you should just tell them to fuck off and flee to some buddhist temple in the middle of nowhere to capture your zen
