Hey,

I've heard of a program where a relative can be compensated an amount to stay home and take care of another relative who is currently unable to take care of themselves. It's something I want to look into as my gram's health has deteriorated rapidly in recent months and she needs constant care now. Anyone have any information on this? I can't seem to find anything online. Perhaps it doesn't exist?

:( Thanks. Syn

Don't know your location but in the UK its called carers allowance.

It's really not much but its better than nothing I guess.

My mom is a diabetic with heart trouble and arthritis, and at one point it looked like she would need a carer so I looked into it but thankfully she pulled through.

Something like this exists in germany as well. So there is a chance it should exist in the us too.

It seems like it does, most people have heard of it but I can't seem to fish out any legitimate information about it via the internet. Maybe i'm searching for the wrong thing.
