Pac's Life

Man as much as I love the originals, everytime a new cd comes people have to have closed minds and compair the songs to the original and rate them based on the originals rather than as just songs.

I been buying 2pac's albums since 93 and he's been my favorite ever since. Here is my open minded review..

1. Untouchable w/ Bone = 3/5
AM I WRONG CUZ I WANNA GET IT ON TILL I DIE. AM I WRONG CUZ I WANNA GET IT ON TILL I DIE AM I WRONG CUZ I WANNA GET IT ON TILL I DIE AM I WRONG CUZ I WANNA GET IT ON TILL I DIE AM I WRONG CUZ I WANNA GET IT ON TILL I DIE AM I WRONG CUZ I WANNA GET IT ON TILL I DIE AM I WRONG CUZ I WANNA GET IT ON TILL I DIE AM I WRONG CUZ I WANNA GET IT ON TILL I DIE AM I WRONG CUZ I WANNA GET IT ON TILL I DIE.... Seriously that kind of ruined the song for me. I need a lil more lyricial content than that line over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. The beat is nice but fuck, enough of the one line.

2. Pac's Life w/ Ashanti & T.I. = 2/5
Poop. Ashanti? NO! It's not even the fact that it's her. She just sounds horrible. It sounds like a britney spears hook. The beat is nice, 2pac's and TI's verses are nice. I like how TI actually talked about Pac and didn't pretend like they were in the studio together and friends. his verse was a nice tribute IMO. Remove the chorus or put a different one in here, it would bring the song up to a good song. My little sister will love this song. The original beat was cheesy and the producer did a great job bringing it up but DAMN! the hook just killed the whole song.

3. Dumpin w/ Fatal, Papoose, Carl Thomas = 4/5
I don't like any carl thomas songs but he did a good job on this track. Everything fits well.

4. Playa Cardz Right w/ keyshia cole = 2/5
Nice beat. From the first listen it seems like one of those songs that starts out slow and is gonna jump off into some sick chorus/theme/beat but as soon as ms cole starts singing it's an instant miss. The song is all downhill from there. Turns form a Pac song into an R&B late night BET track they won't even play during the day.

5. Whatz Next w/ A3 & jay Rock = 1/5
Skip. Not worthy of listening to for review, instant skip every time. You must be in love with Lil Jon or drugged up/drunk as fuck at the club to even listen to this.

6. Sleep w/ Young Buck & Chamillionaire = 3/5
Doesn't sound like a Pac song to me. Sounds like a song Pac would make a guest appearance on. Nice Beat & flow but it's an average song.

7. International w/ Nippsy Hustle & Young Dre = 1/5
Another skipper unless you're at the club tipsy.

8. Don't Sleep w/ outlawz = 5/5
This song is dope. It's not exactly a 5/5 but it is very true to Pac's style. Everything about it has the Pac feel. The beat, the flow, everything. For that reason it's a 5/5.

9. Soon As I Get Home w/ Khadafi = 5/5
I don't rate this 5 because it's "OG" but because the songs is off the hook.

10. Playa Cardz Right w/ Ludacris & Keon Bryce = 4/5
The original was definately a 5/5 but this remix is dope too. I won't hate because it's not the "OG" and knock the rating down because of that. But I agree, the spelling/title "Playa" makes no sense.

11. Don't Stop w/ Outlawz = 2/5
Somewhat of a skipper depending on my mood. The og wasn't any better.

12. Pac's Life w/ Snoop, TI, Chris Star = 2/5
WTF is with the gay chorus. It's not about the person on the chorus. The way it's sung is just poop. You could put the hardest gangster in the world on this track, this type of chorus ruins the song.

13. Untouchable w/ Khadafi, Fatal & Gravy = 3/5
Not bad. Not that great either.

Overall 32/65 That's a 2.6 out of 5

Lad I agree with you 100%! If you can find my review in some post around here we agree almost 100%! Which is to say that we are both still waiting for a new 2pac album!

One good thing about this album is dumpin.

This is finally a track with that typical pac vibe, it would even fit in the dk7 album with the hail mary samples.

too bad papoose is on it, his verse is dope, but it takes that vibe away when he starts with the I always thought I had to die to make a record with pac line. pacs second verse from die should be on there.

Anyways just wanted to say this track is tite, and a step in the right direction.

I dont know how to contact amaru, but we should let them know we finally appreciate somethin instead of all te hating on the previous albums. They cant take the fans serious anymore with all the hating, so lets give them props on this track, so they understand what we want.

I think (SLEEP) & (DUMPIN) is straight fire..

Petty they didin't keep it og but fuck for remixes nice work man :)

SOON AS I GET HOME :)

do yall notice when amaru releases an OG, apart from those previously released by deathrow, it is not quite perfect quality. SAIGH doesnt sound CDQ to me, compare the track to...tounge kissin' for example, it sounds....wierd. Like They Dont Give A.. on BD...

Yea same with me,the quality isnt much better than the one i already have

Listen to the one you had esp. the kadafi verse...it's a lot clearer even on this rip. It'll be even nicer on CD. :thumb:

They don't have pellas for SAIGH or TDGAFAU, I assume they only have a mixdown, which may not be in the best quality, so these have to be released OG. Unfortuantly this is probably the only reason, not because they are hot songs.

QDIII said the master of Soon as i get home was lost, didn't he?

either way, i was looking forward to Soon As I Get Home featuring Kanye West and Rhymefest :(
