Alright this thread is plain wrong. It's shown that even mature posts on racism cannot be constant and will always decline into racism and name calling.

I am English and I am white. Yet I can appreciate, because I'm not ignorant to history, that my ancestors pretty much raped and pilleged the whole world. Why is/was the British Empire so huge? Why do so many countries speak English. Because we forcibly took all these other countries by slaughtering their inhabitants.

Also if Jesus did exist, as I'm not religous, he would've looked just like Tiger Woods, except he would have had a beard and long hair. There's no argument, that is the part of the world Jesus resided at. It's just back when the bible was translated to how we now know it people were extremely bigoted. Women were treated like shit, and same sex relationships were frowned upon. As were people who weren't white.

As for Egyptians not being black. You do know Egypt is in Africa. How did White people get to Africa back when the Egyptions were showing their amazing advancements? Plane? No. Pyramids yes, Planes No? Also check the pyramid walls, do you see any white people in those paintings?

I am white. And I'm not ashamed. What white people done years ago is nothing to do with me so I don't feel the need to "stick up for my race." I prefer to study History and realise that the world was once 1 large Island. And that man was created in the area we now refer to as Africa. Look up evolution and you may learn how we all became different. Appreciate that through the years that all people have helped the advancement of mankind, white and black.

That is an illustration of a word which went from a positive connoctation to a negative one. What's your point? How words can change over time? If so, try this one. At one point, the word "Queer" was seen as highly offensive by the gay community. However through time it was reclaimed and now has lost much of it's sting. As aforementioned Nigger comes from the Latin meaning, "black". If the word is desensitized it no longer causes offense and ceases to be used by people who wish to cause hurt.

with regards to struggle, we all have struggle - even those with white priviledge, be it due to ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, economic class, etc. once again, "nigga" does not instantly denote someone who has struggled? was ghandi a nigga? how about jesus?
