While I agree that no White person should use the phrase "nigger" or any variation of the word, I strongly disagree with the points you chose to prove your argument with.

White people never enslaved (defined: To make into a slave) Africans. Africans enslaved Africans. They then in turn sold their own people to the White man. While the White man purchased slaves in search of cheap labor, it was not him that "enslaved" Africans. But it was the him that finally put an end to slavery (in America). Slavery still exists in parts of Africa.

As far as African Americans being "raped", some may say that statement is debatable while I would just call it outright slander. You're not being fair to White people when you make statements such as how Whites "persecuted" Blacks for "400 years". To say Whites "opressed" or "held back" people who were sold by thier own families in some cases is rediculous. How do you oppress a group of people that had no written language? White people have spent over $2.5 trillion dollars trying to upgrade African Americans since the 1960's. You call this oppression, I call this the White man's burden.

I disagree with this as well. The final outcome of slavery (learning to read and write, entering a "civilized" society, etc) has made Blacks achieve success like they would have never seen as slaves in Africa. There are even a few Black trillionaires in America today.

Need less to say, there are more poor Whites in America than poor Blacks.

consider it a tradeoff for being able to trace your lineage and not having great-grandparents who were slaves. seems like a good deal now, huh?

Who's fault is this? The Africans who enslaved thier own people, the Jews who financed the majority of the slave ships, or the White man? Many were involved, but it seems as though only one group is blamed for it (Whites). Nobody seems to want to bring up the fact that among the first slaves in America were White indentured servants, or the fact that free Blacks owned slaves as well. In my opinion, "White guilt" over slavery can be shared with many other ethnic groups, including Africans/Blacks themselves.

But back to the topic, I don't feel that a White person should use the word "nigger" in any way, shape, form or fashion. I also feel exactly the same way about Blacks using the word "cracker" or "white boy".

Edit: By the way, I realize that any time a White person defends his own people he is often branded as a "racist". I can assure you I'm not, as I haven't said anything remotely racist in this post. I am just a person who is extremely proud of who he is and where I come from. Any White person who isn't proud of his people/heritage has got to have severe mental problems.

As far as the Civil War goes, that can be debated as to whether or not it was actually over slavery. But yes, many White people took part in aiding Blacks during slavery. Levi Coffin being one of the many notable ones during this era. The things he did for Black people should be admired by every African American just as much as the things Martin Luther King Jr. did.

Yes that did relate to my case, All Im sayin is you cant assume every white enslaved a black. ANd yes the civil war will always be debated. but it did end slavery either way. so either way not enough credit is given to those (of all color) who helped in abolshing that disgusting act.
