i can't stand listening to this song...makes me cringe in pain every time i hear...i think they fucked it up more than any other song on the album, and that's saying a lot

but never the less, good to see Pac at #1

exaggerating a bit here, arent u? there are songs on the album which are way more "destroyed"

changes was number 2, think britnet beat him but not sure, an only cos of that school uniform, its single of the week where i work (asda or walmart) an that usually gets the number one spot on

This is what Top Of The Pops said about the new release.

TUPAC ft. ELTON JOHN - 'GHETTO GOSPEL

Can we get a medium in here and actually ask Tupac whether he'd want to release a song which owes its chorus to Elton John? Because as nice as that sample is, it sort of shows up how ordinary this tale of hard knocks would be without it. Now I loved heyday Tupac, but just because it seems he did more rapping than actual talking (apparently there's enough unreleased material to fill six albums - that's hip hop albums mind, which normally last about five days each), does that mean we need to tag him onto anything that resembles a catchy tune, every six months? Way to water down that legacy, label people!

What ? Hasnt the single been released the single in the UK until now `??? LOl, why tthat ???? Album came out like half a year from now...!

yeah the album came out late 04 overe here
but the single's only jus comin out
the video's bin non-stop 4 about 2 months now

Anyway is any1 gonna hook me up with any CM187 news (or where do i start a post about it)

the more i listen to it the more i actually like it.. the production is good, its just the elton john hook that im not too keen on.. fair enough if em was to use the chorus and have someone else sing it (have the girl pac always used on the hooks.. i forget the name).
still, people aint gonna buy it just cos of elton john or the fact that em produced it- they are gonna buy it cos they think its a genuinely good song! pac's voice may sound a bit poor when sped up, but after listening to the OG his vocals are much clearer and defined, and you can really feel his lyrics better than on the OG imo

It is #1 according to today’s newspapers. What is pissing me off is a lot of people (media included) are acting like it is Elton’s song, in the articles 2pac gets a very small mention where as Elton gets a picture and the headline. Fucking British press uh! People don’t listen to the lyrics, only the beat and the hook, but that’s pop fans for you.
