Oprah the "bitch" part 2

Some weeks ago Chronic made a topic about Oprah and that she bothers him at times. I however responded that I find her interesting. While I still do, today she got on my nerves.

The subject was the n-word, whether or not it should be used and by whom etc.

She had Ludacris, Don Cheadle(from Hotel Rwanda) and another black dude named terrance 8didn't catch up the last name) and one white guy and a white woman.

Anyway, what bothered me TO DEATH was that they were having a discussion. Oprah suggested that the word shouldn't be used by anyone, whether it's the "nigger" or "nigga". While Don Cheadle TRIED to argue against her with some really good knowledge she NEVER let him finished a sentenced and jumped in with silly arguments; "words have energy" and to make things worse, the audience (such dickriders, or pussyriders shoulkd I say?) they applauded her evertime, thus preventing Don Cheadle for ever making an argument. So it ended up that Oprah "won" the debate.

She was really really annoying.

Yeah I caught 3 minutes of that, then I left the room feeling annoyed as fuck.
And yeah the audience was annoying as fuck. Willing to bet that at least half of the audience has never been in contact with the word but yet they applaud Oprah simply cause it's Oprah.

It's Terrance Howard by the way and the other two were Sandra Bullock and Matt Dilon.

hey, did you get that black girl, i guess shes from the movie Crash too, saying that she will never hire some black dude to make a job, like fixing something in the house, cause shes afraid of black people, cause the stats proves that black people are majority in Jail and commiting crimes
what a dumb fuck...
The show was about this movie Crash...

Even thought i didn't see the show i know what you mean and i got perfect picture what it looked like.

Maybe on her official site they have recorded that episode and we can see it through there if not they sometimes reply the same eposide on same day so you can check out sometime tonight.

This is completely off topic...but I like Terrence Howard. He has an interesting life story...and he's cute :horny:

and yea...oprah...she annoys me sometimes too. :thumb:

What a cunt. The use of the word "nigga" by black people is a form of empowerment, in my opinion. It started out as "nigger," which white people used in a derogatory manner when referring to blacks. Over time, black people took the word and made it their own ("nigga"), and now you've got a whole nation into hip-hop (white, Asian, whatever) that is just dying to say "nigga" but are scared as fuck to say it around black people. THAT'S power. But that's just what I think.

But if Oprah is going to argue against everybody (blacks included) using the word "nigga" then she should argue against everybody (women included) using the word "bitch." Same shit, different toilet.

lol, I'm sure about 50% of this board hardly give a shit about the word or even care about saying it. Well, I know I don't give a shit about it, but that's just me.

Truthfully, I'm tryin' to stop saying the word 'nigga'. I've always known it was wrong, but I still did it anywayz. I don't look down on anyone else who uses it though, unlike most people. It's gonna be kinda hard to do that though, seeing that I'm a rapper lol.

But Oprah, I'm really starting not to like her. She's always talking about some Black issues, yet you look into her crowd and it's mostly non-Black women except for a couple. Or when it's a issue such as marital affairs, she makes sure she talks about why men cheat, but never the reasons women cheat. And on top of that, like you guys said, she is always interrupting something or someone.

i was watching the ellen degeneres show today. i noticed crowds in those shows are always crazy for nothing

Although in some of what you say is true, Black people where using "nigger" way before it became "nigga" and it's interesting too that it wasnt meant in a good way - It had the same meaning and use as said by a White person. Books such as Manchild in a Promised land highlight this.
I for one am not in a hurry to use the word, I mean why?

Plus Oprah can be annoying, mostly because of how she cuts off people if she doesnt agree with them. But some topics they discuss can be real intersting. And with the croud thing, mostly White stay at home type moms? Thats what makes it all the more fascinating when Oprah does these type of shows, her fans dig it.

I think you missed my point, my whole rant wasn't about the word itself or the debate but I was ANNOYED that the rest of the guests weren't allowed to speak IF they had different opinions. The audience applauded EVERYTIME she opened her mouth. And she was pretty rude to the guy that plays the manager in hotel rwanda. Later on, he even changed views just so he could be able to SAY a whole sentence without beeing stopped. lol.

As for the word itself; I don't really care about it, I don't say and never thought about saying it cause i have no reasons to say it. I was actually on Oprahs side of the argument (that the word should be abonded totally) but that doesn't mean that I don't like hearing what other people have to say.
