To all the people that say I do nothing but ego-boost and self-promote - kiss my brown ass.

To all the people on here that don't hate on a dude makin' moves, drop some wisdom, I wanna hear what you guys think.

This is the world premiere...brand new single from our new album...and our management is in talks with the people of a massive US rapper who loves the tune and wants to feature on an international version. I ain't saying more on that cos it's not a sure thing, but we'll see. Check out the sax solo in the middle of the song!!! BBC Radio 1 are already loving this up and ringing us everyday...and we haven't even givin it to them to play yet . :)

Anyway here's the track, it's compressed quite heavily for the sake of YouTube, but if you want to hear a better quality version you can go to MySpace.

Peace...

thats an awsome track man i know alot of ppl down here who would like this if they heard it on the radio..but i hope u know how i feel about your actions. you arent a sell out, i dont believe that you are, because if i was in your shoes i'd do the same exact thing, just keep on doing what your doing man i like your style :thumb:

and one other thing...heres my post that alot of ppl ignored, the ones that called millitant a sell out..he isnt a sell out...think about it more carefuly before u open your mouths..its okay if you thought he was a sell out at first but then read my post and thought differently...but its not okay to call someone a sell out who u dont even know so well...if i ever do this..someone please let me know because thats wrong to me

Thanks Rahim! I'd rep you but it won't let me yet. Really glad you like the track. I know there's a lot of desi folks in Van City! Hopefully we'll get a gig there and we can kick it :thumb:

^^ For sure man

Here is my post for everyone to refer to who thinks what Militant is doing is selling out.

I do believe that one person can make a difference, but in their own way. Even though it may seem that by Militant letting Walmart sell his product is indirectly supporting what they are doing (to their workers), it's really not because if that was the case then the workers at walmart would've quit. But look? Most of them havn't because they acctually do care about their financial well being.

So just how the walmart empoloyees never quit, and continued to work through these conditions, because they know they all have families who need food on the table, Militant isn't doing anything wrong by having his product up at walmart, not the way I see it because then your putting yourself out to an even a harder time by not earning money.

Which one is worse:

Your husband or wife has been working for Walmart for over a year now, and suddenly Walmart starts to cut corners on your wife or husband's pay cheque by 15%. Let's say you have three choices in this situation:

a.) Quit and get a new job.
b.) Take the picket lines with all Walmart Staff, even though you know it won't do that well since your only doing it for a day or two until Walmart losen's up, and you even have a chance of getting fired just for being apart of this comotion.

c.) Work there anyways because you know your own and your families financial being is more important then your co-workers thinking your a "sellout" by not supporting them in the picklet lines.

Now which one sounds the most reasonable? Don't think about selling out other co-workers for a second because selling yourself and your family out is much more worse then selling co-workers who really don't give a fuck about your well being.

I pick b.) because my well being and my families well being is more important. The whole world can call someone else a sell out for something they did but if God doesn't see it like that then it's not true no matter what people say. The blind have been leading the blind for a long time now, and it still hasn't stopped.

Hint: To each one of these answers leads to "selling out" of some sort. Which one are you..a, b or c?

I really hope politics don't screw shit up with the famous rapper that wants to work with us. He would sound tight with a verse on this.

Really catchy song. I think it fits to be played on the radio or on parties etc.

Yeah I think it's a song many people will enjoy listening to. Especially people who are into that type of music will love it :thumb:

I like the track a lot, I just expected a video lol. But over all I like it, even though I can't really understand the lyrics. Is the international version goin to be different (english voice)? ... over all I gotta say I like a lot of the tracks I see u postin and all, even though it's actually not really my 'music' - I usually wouldn't like that funky stuff, but dunno, somehow swami is different and just as funky as I can live with it 'n' can listen 2, I think about gettin a whole album.

peace.

thats a hot track.

mili you can't tell us who the famous rapper on the international track is?

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Really glad you guys dig it since I really do value you guys' opinions.

A couple of points - Menace - We are currently negotiating with some major labels who want the international rights to this album. The deal we will most likely take basically has a stipulation saying that we give them (the label) the first music video for the album, which will not be for this track, but for the second track on the album. They want a live performance montage basically which is cool since we film every gig we do now. It's the buzz track basically. Anyway the label is saying we do that, and then they finance the second video which would be for this track, btw which is called "Hey Hey".

But we have done another deal with an American marketing and promotions firm which is run by a group of very rich and powerful businessmen....one of whom is the vice prez of the biggest artist management and representation firm in the world. It's those guys that are currently talking to Famous Rapper.

So if everything goes according to plan, we sort everything out with Famous Rapper, re-do this track, cut out most of the Indian vocals so it's basically a duet with Famous Rapper and the girl who is already singing on it, but the chorus will still have some Indian vox on it. Then we get the financing and do the video for that version. That's if all goes according to plan anyway.

Basically this version of the track is the UK/India version. But because it has so much potential we want to do the international version which is where Famous Rapper comes into play.

It's kinda like what Punjabi MC did (who we actually did a gig with about a month ago). His track was a straight bhangra track with all Indian vox and the beat with the Knight Rider sample. But then, it got big in Europe a few years down the line....Jay-Z ended up hearing it, loving it, and doing his version - boom - track becomes a massive hit. That Punjabi MC track had been around for YEARS before Jay-Z heard it though.

So yeah anyway I'm rambling but those things I mentioned are options we are trying to explore, as well as a whole bunch of other things.

Anyway it's not that I can't tell you who we are talking to regarding the track, it's just very far from being a done deal and if it doesn't happen that makes me look like I'm chatting shit lol and I don't wanna risk that. But if anyone reaaaaally wants an obscure hint then PM me or something lol.

I know very well that where u come from, I hate 2 talk about things that aren't done&complete myself. Take care and good luck. Anyway, I just did send you an email, cya around. ;)

It's definitely a good song for radio with nice instrumentation, I'm just not into songs I can't understand. The lyrics are nothing to write home about.

It'd do well to have that rapper on there, assuming it's not Young Jeezy or such.

oh dear god no. it is someone with a lot of commercial appeal.

yeah this isn't supposed to be a deep lyrical song, it's a party club hit and yeah, not intended for US audiences at this stage in the game till we get dude to feature on it.

When I first heard the dude, I thought "Punjabi MC?" but not as catchy and the beat is not that hip-hop like. Good song. You would have ruined it if you rapped your wack verse over it, so thanks for not doing so.

However, I'm curious to see where you stand in the credits of this song. Why is it your song?
