ok, another question. would you prefer individual full colored albums with their own artwork, or more of a collection type presentation using one of these bad ass cases:

You contributing to this project also? Who else is gonna be involved besides Dante...dizzy, more than likely, right?

I was thinking you can get some serious promo going by advertising the DJs and the presenters.

i.e.

something like that. could get you more sales. but you know i'll buy it anyway.

any cost estimation yet?
 
the discs will have full color silk screen printing (just like a pressed cd you buy does) and i'm actually leaning toward option 1 since i may have found a stellar deal.

the badass case would contain 6 pressed and full color discs, but would just have one case with one front, and one back. the alternative is 6 individual single jewel cases, each with their own art. should i make another poll? :P

in the end i want to make a product people would be proud to have paid for.

nice nice...yeah i'd like to get more active at that board, i signed up very recently but havent gotten proper time to give that site a full run through, finals and such.

are you guys worried about amaru at all with this, like if it is advertised outside of streethop and whatnot? cant they do something to you all if they get wind of this, esp. if unleaked tracks are gonna be on there? i dont want that to happen, but i still want to help y'all get some mo sales through my own promotion.
 
I got mad respect for the pac djs on the scene.. my known favs are obvious with fatal, dizzy and dante.. Like to get more DJ's up on the 2pacshakur.NET site.. only quality dj's though :-)

OH since I am talking.. we are looking for ppl to help as always.

far as amaru goes.. thats on me, and thats something for me to worry about...

to be honest, right now i'm just looking at it as a mixtape project but as a set and not a single disc. dj fatal did it, dizzy, dant, vlad, butta, etc etc, so i know the legality of it is fine. with respect to an unleaked song, well we'll see what we can do there. maybe if it's not advertised and some how mistakenly is included in the duplication process? who knows. anyway, this whole thing would be in like 6 months anyway, so there's still a lot of time. right now i'm just gathering information to look before i leap and make sure it won't cost me more to do this than i will pull back in.
 
Since it reflects a long period of creativity and time on your part, (the last year and a half) Why not make full coler covers, and go all out. The advertised tracklist isn't important imo. Since your also refining your old work, why not have that same detail put into cover and labeling? I could see how it financially worries you, but I would like to look at the cds and have them Stand out to me moreso than the retail ones. Keep the ogv theme in the artwork. Could the artwork have exclusive photos and look better than say an amaru cd?
 
edit: nvm totally misread that post. i guess in the end it's dante's and g-litt's call on how they wanna put out the unreleased track(s)--poor quality encoded X40, or high quality analog - to - wav tape deck transfers. i'll be happy either way, but you know everyone would prefer the 2nd option. :) i guess the high-quality of the external product could be reflected with the internal product as well, eh? :p

oh and dante, i think you should mention which company you are going with to do your duplication/artwork/etc, at least mention it on the CD cover or something, and mention if you get into any hitches with them, particularly if it's a national level organization. many aspiring mcs/artists/producers would be interested to hear feedback from customers like yourself about services like these.
