Second luckiest team on the planet after Manure. Well done ye were played off the pitch by Turkey's reserves for most of the game and just about scraped through. They might as well hand them the cup now though lol. Turkey didnt have the belief that they could win it.

Look man, I have no problem with Germany winning as long as they play well.
But this? Wtf. They have the easiest opponents, except Croatia (to whom they promptly lost), then they STILL manage to play HORRIBLY. But they're in the final, anyway. So undeserved. They had 3 good moments this match. The three goals. And they had like 300 poor moments.

If Germany wins the final, I will buy a German flag and burn it.

Turkey reach the semi's of another major tournament. They reached the semi's of the 2002 World Cup (they finished 3rd i think). Thats some improvement for a country that was among the whipping boys off European football in the lates 80's and early 90's. Back then they were considered an easy team to beat like Malta. I think Ireland beat them 5 or 6 nil in the Italia 90 qualifiers. They made a breakthrough by qualifying for Euro 96 and they have come on from there. I reckon that they will continue to get better. They have some very good and skillful football players and look well coached. who knows what the future holds for them.

I applaud the brave and offensive minded mentality of the Turkish team and Fatih Terim. With only half a team, and even half of that being bench players, they dominated against (on paper) stronger teams.

Ballack was very poor. Schweinsteiger was pretty absent apart from his goal. Podolski did decent on offensive, neglected his defensive duties. Hitzlsperger was poor. Klose was poor, apart (again) from his (good) goal. The entire German defense was hilarious. Lahm was good offensively, a drama defensively.
I hope the Germans encounter a serious team in the finals. A spirited side capable of playing those Krauts off the pitch with result.
