Non-Urban Music Oasis

#1
Ive grown up around hip-hop, everything i listen is hip hip... 90% of my 400+ cd collection is hip hop / r&b... but every1 has there first love for music... and mines Oasis, the first album i ever bought was definately maybe, then it was whats the story... i dunno about anyone else but Oasis really get me going... maybe its because im from the same city as them... "MANCHESTER"!!!! or maybe because they spawned my second favourite indie/rock band "the verve"... i dunno... does anyone else have a group/band/singer from a different genre of music who they really love?

Oasis are awesome. Though some poeple hate them (amara) i think their music is great. (WHat's THe story)morning glory was their BEST album, and one of the best albums of the 90's. Solid Solid tracks right there.
And other genre's??? Hiphop's my other genre, my music collection only contains probably 20% hiphp/rap. The rest is rock, oldies, r&b, dance/trance/euro, jazz, latin, punk and well the list goes on.

Oasis never spawned the verve, they did help them to get mainstream, there first two albums "a storm in heaven" and " northern soul" are really dark as im sure you know, which is why they wer'nt massive untill urban hymes dropped, for me the verve we're light years ahead of oasis.

Yep, I love Oasis and never gert tired of their music or interviews! Any one see Noel on MTV saying how hes gonna celebrate for about a year and a half if Liam leaves the band, and then hes gonna release a triple Reggae album! lmao!

I like the little dig at the end ;) Really though, Defintely Maybe & WTSMG are surely 2 of the best Rock albums in the last 30 years.

Indeed. Which is why I said 2 of the best rather than the 2 best.
