I just found out that B.O.B.'s Nothin' On You was meant for Lupe.

Here's the original version:


I personally like BOB's version, maybe it moves faster. Lupe's version sounds so slow and not upbeat.


PS: If I'm late with this sorry, I was in a cave.

They're label mates, Lupe passed on it/bob begged for it...Lupe pretty much asked Atlantic to give it to bob, Jim Jonsin has talked about this interviews and shit. You're late on that...But I never heard Lupe's version though so thanks.

Lupe's version isn't done. The first verse sounds like he played around with a particular flow, but cmon, here and there he goes silent for like a bar in his flow. He could probably have killed it too, he gave the beat and chorus to BoB but Lupe is awesome, he could have changed it around.

The reason BoB's version sounds better is it is mixed and finalized. Percussion does a lot for the rhythm and that's probably why you think it sounds more upbeat SiGh.
