I paid over $800 for my Nokia 8860 on the day of its release. That phone was the shit back in the day.
 And you don't regret that? I mean, with all bullshit aside, it makes no sense to pay for any phone over $200, or even $100 for that matter.

I have regrets about inserting $20 in a video porker machine.

People have different priorities. Some people want style and features. Others might want something affordable.
If the price is your priority then obviously you would buy something in your price range.. as long as it works then no problem.

My priority was style.

I think it's fine. I don't spend hundreds on watches or any jewelry and I'm not metrosexual so I don't have hundreds worth of shoes etc. Only accessory I buy is a phone and the phones I buy have it all - a clock! the bling! and style.

Many people would probably say you have your priorities messed up. I'm not gonna say that because I don't care. But like I did say, all bullshit aside. It has nothing to do with what you can afford or what's in your price range, a cell phone is just not worth $800. That's part of a down payment on a house or my rent.

Go ahead and say it. I know you want to. :)

Down payment on a house is not something a 16/17 year old would need to worry about.. at least in my case. I had a good job. I was paying my bills on time and I still had enough money to put in a savings every two weeks. can i spend my money now?

I think it's the difference in standards. I think those boring phones should cost only about $100-$200.

That reminds me of my earlier point. Have you seen Amazon or any other place that sells phones? Yeah.. they got great deals... like free phone if you sign up or something like you get $40 back etc. That's all good but those phones are a joke... I think I've seen better looking kid's toy phones. If something stands out in a boring line up of US phones then I would pay $800. It's worth it.

lol nah I really don't wanna say it. And all I'm saying is a matter of opinion, not trying to tell you what to do. A 16/17 yr old wouldn't be buying a house but it's always good to start having good spending habits, when you're nearing 18 or hitting college.

^ I put myself in your shoes and I understand. I've wondered why in the hell people would pay good amount of money for Tupac songs or Nike shoes. I don't understand it because those things do not give me any pleasure. But I'm sure it does for them. Everyone has different things.

Im the # 1 stunna...wha wha wha wha wha?

I got one of these they look cool but i dont really understand most of the features.

$800 for i phone, i could never do it. I mean there are so many things id rather have than a 800 cell phone. I could buy multiple things....damn so many things. But its all good if u got the money for it.

^I'd have to agree about the stupidity of mp3 phones however if Apple can come up with a 20GB or more ipod/phone I'd have to get one. The sony ericsson carmi posted looks pretty bomb. They'll probably come out with 4 MP soon.

yeah that sony ericsson is really nice. its like a digital camera and a phone in 1.

Looks nice. If you're going for just the looks then that's the phone but personally I don't want a phone that lacks a key pad. Phones over here suck, they really do.

lacks of big screen too. thats why i'm wondering. the style is all there, but the screen isnt big and the keypad is missing too. thats why i started looking elsewhere and saw the sony ericsson one. style aint all that, but it still looks slick and the screen is big which is a big plus for me. but its like a hundred more than the nokia.

i know i wont because if i buy one of these 2 cells, i know they'll be in fashion for the next two years. i would regret paying 100$ for a cell that i totally hate. i mean i always have my cell phone with me, always, so i need to like it. if i dont, i'll get rid of it anmd buy another one. so might as well make a good investment that will last long.
