Correct. According to www.riaa.com, Doggystyle is officially certified as 4X Platinum and Tha Doggfather is officially certified as 2X Platinum. After that, his sales were just mediocre in comparison, since most everything after Da Game Is to Be Sold (his first album after Death Row) was just either gold or platinum... definitely not bad, but definitely not up to par with his previous albums.
