The there, their, they're thing is easy. I remember in primary school I just taught myself that they're is they are so if you can say they are use they're, and there is over there, it has an er, and their refers to someone so it has an I in it, silly way of doing it but it worked for me.

I did something like that when I was little, and yeah, I know it's stupid but it works... i should have learned it by now though :(

it's all about quality, not quantity ;)

99% of members don't post....

a lot of my typos are caused by typing in the dark. and yes quality not quantity is true.

99% ...? Come on, the majority of people type fine.

Yes, Missy's english is very good...I suppose that 11 years of english classes wasn't wasted. Shit, she types better than me...although I never paid attention in english class (didn't like the teacher).

Saint, it's a bad habit, though, and when you write papers for school, you're going to notice.

Also, I don't want to have people correcting each other's posts and such, but eliminating "a lot" fwould be a good idea for everybody. It's improper. "Lot" is an actual measurement, and when somebody, like Rukas did a couple of posts ago, says "better than a lot of people", it's improper. The proper substitute is many, several, numerous, or my favorite, plethora. Now, Ruk, I'm not trying to "Throw rocks at the throne" as you'd probably like to think, so don't get offended.

Hmmm you're right, Ill try to take notice of that in the future. Still, its a common mistake that is accepted, unlike "dun", you know what I mean?

Not everyone has to be perfect, it's the people that dumb down their intelligence to seem cool that piss me off. If I thought Saint33 was actually a retard I wouldnt have made this thread.

same here. i really don't see what the fuss is about, if i feel like typing 'u' instead of you? as long as the post is understandable i don't see what the big deal is.
