Any exciting New Year's Eve plans?

I have none really. I've stopped going to clubs on New Year's Eve a long time ago and have no plans for changing that. There's a few house parties but they don't seem too promising. They're too tame. They treat it like a club night. From 9:00pm til' 2:00am. Wine and cheese? Really? Bowtie? I expect to start drinking quite early and stop drinking when I see daylight. That's why I'll most likely be getting wasted at a friend's house, sausage fest in full effect. But at least you can expect copious amounts of alcohol and maybe additional narco delicatessen and no end in sight until everyone's passed out.

I'm stuck. I have 2 options.

A house party at my friend's house, with my male friends (aka sausage fest + girlfriends of some of my friends)
A party high in the mountains, but I only know a friend who rents a hut, his friends are going to be there and I know none of them. It might turn out to be a sausage fest (apparently it's not) full of assholes as far as I know.

I'd like option 2 + people from option 1, but that's not a possibility. I know that my friends might be a bit disappointed if I don't choose option 1, but I'd like to do something cooler indeed.

I've done Option 2 type stuff and Option 1 type stuff. I never regretted Option 1. I've regretted Option 2. New Year's Eve tends to get etched in one's memory and friends don't easily forget if you've spent it with them or not. Long term, you want to be the guy who was there in the sausage fest keeping it real. Short term, there's a higher chance you might have more fun at Option 2 because of the novelty factor and potentially meeting a girl you don't know already.

There's a gathering of 10-12 of us or so at a friends house. Nothing intense. I'm over the clubbing thing as well on NYE. That being said, there are a few trance/house events I'd go to here, but it's about 100$/Ticket.

Yeah actually these are exactly my motives :p I think I'll pick option 1 and keep it real. Sucks that I couldn't make my friends do the option 2 or anything cooler than a sausage fest at friend's home actually, but it's because my friend who invites us will be there with his girlfriend.
I know that It'd most probably be very cool to party in the mountains but oh well, friends are friends. Also I have to be at work on 2nd of January and going back home on 1st would suck a lot.

I'm not on medication for my arm anymore so i'll probably drink a lil, but i'm not gonna have any guests at my house for me, just other ppl having their guests. So it's going to be kind of lame

I've been to A church on New Year's Eve but only cause there was a huge party with live music and everyone was getting shitfaced. What's your excuse? :p
It's where the people I want to be with are going. Most of my friends are somewhat religious. And when you ignore the talk of God, the pastor there gives a positive message that's valid in a nonreligious sense.

You need to get better friends. Not because they're religious, but because they're going to church on NYE.

Going to a friends house for BBQ and drinks. No high expectations, it will be cool just to sit back and chill with good people. NYE is over rated, people always try to make it a huge night but it never works out. I've only had 1 NYE which was insanely awesome.

Let us not forget my last NYE when the boy and I were broken up briefly and I was all YOU CAN'T STOP MY SHINE so I went to a party with Mr. One puff is enough and his head started bleeding randomly and he didn't know how.

I suspect he tried to open my friends window. It was an awning style window that opened out. One whole wall of the condo was just windows looking out onto the street. Anyway I think he pushed it open thinking it was gonna hold itself open and it smacked him in the head. Too bad I didnt get to witness that. He was bleeding pretty profusely. I let him drive home. I'm a bad person. He's still alive...he still texts me occasionally even though I haven't seem him since that day.

I am also doing nothing on NYE. I smell a hangout on G+....

Seriously... though.... No way I am fighting my way to the bar. I'll be staying in with my son and playing PS3 (as much as I hate it) and watching movies.... Then I will hit the bars hard on the 7th instead. RocknRoll....
