No, it wont. Dark colors are better for the eyes.

What's wrong with people's eyes? Lighter colors are always better than darker colors. I never watch movies in the dark cuz it messes up your eyes. They should turn lights on at the theaters as well.

Thats a totally different concept. Watching movies in the dark hurts your eyes because the surroundings are dark and the screen is bright, it has nothing to do with the screen being dark, thus has nothing to do with the new layout.

Darker colors on screen are better for your eyes then lighter colors on screen, there is less strain, especially when viewing at night.

what Rukas said, when your surrounding are dark then any light from a screen, dark or otherwise, is going to fuck with you.

just concentrate and focus on a far away object every five minutes. that helps.
