OK - This is straight from a source who is very trustworthy - he's actually the guy that put together the recent Ultimate Prince compilation that I'm sure you've all seen in stores, and obviously is privy to a lot of insider information.

Here's what he has said:

Another great night, this time filled with actual news. Super Bowl confirmed. New U.S. Tour confirmed.

Get your credit cards ready after the super bowl...tour starts 2/2007. That's it for now. I'm thinking I might lay low for a while...

I can't say anything about a new album aside that the possibility of it being "different or in the same format as his biggest ever"...speculate on that! And yes, Tamar is REALLY out of the picture right now.

in the same format as his biggest ever? that has to mean "Purple Rain" - so perhaps, a pop/rock/funk album? OMG.

With all the attention he has built up over the last 2 years with "Musicology" and it's tour in 2004 being the biggest selling tour, and then this year with "3121" going straight to number 1, the American Idol performance that millions of people saw, the purple ticket party, now he's confirmed the Superbowl as well? P is on top!!!!

There´s a new album in December which he will tour with. ... could be January too but it´s scheduled for December.

I´ll check with the European organizers to see when he´ll play in Europe. I´ll keep you posted

I hope he goes back to a "rock" sound, because songs like "Cinnamon Girl", "Fury", and "Million Days" have been my favorite songs from his last two records, and it would be a welcome change from 3121, which wasn't a bad record, but just didn't click with me, especially "Black Sweat".

New Prince cd in December. The cd has no title but some of the tracks are:

I’m digging what I’ve heard.

The box set is on schedule also in December.
The records will be released on 2 different record labels. Prince’s new label and the box set will be on Warner Brothers.

Universal wanted Prince 2 open a 3121 club in Vegas and play there and there ONLY. Now u KNOW Prince was not going 4 that. There were a couple of other NAMES they contacted but I’m NOT bringing them into THIS discussion. Since Prince did NOT play ball they dropped Tamar. Tour plans DEAD. Her record will come out on her own label.

A new website is dropping but I can’t give away any information on that just yet. U will like what u see.

P.S. I know what’s coming…………so have at it.

He's also been dropping hints like "The REVOLUTION is not dead".

Are we going to see more of Wendy & Lisa? Even better, is he doing to bring back Brown Mark, one of the funkiest bass players he's ever had? I fucking well hope so.
