Some may remember this song from it's performance on Saturday Night Live a few months back. Well "Fury" is the new single and the music video had it's World Premiere today on MTV Germany (don't know why Germany was chosen for the premiere).

I took the liberty of uploading the video for you all :D :D

Here you go!

Also there's an alternate version of the video (performance only) over at www.npgmc.com

This was the best song on the record, I'm glad it's the new single. I liked Musicology more than 3121, and this song reminded me the most of a Musicology song.

/\ really? I liked 3121 a LOT more than Musicology. I think 'Satisfied' off the new album reminds me the most of Musicology, because it's very similar to "On The Couch".

Musicology had more of a rock feel to me, and that's the Prince I like the most. The Prince on "Never Take the Place of Your Man", "Let's Go Crazy", and the Musicology tracks "Cinnamon Girl", and "Million Days", more guitar-driven, as opposed to the pop-side of Prince. That's why I liked "Fury" so much.

I think 3121 is more consistent than Musicology. It has a nice diversity to it, which hasn't really been seen with any Prince album since "Gold Experience", and possibly "Emancipation" and "Rave", although those two were very patchy. I love Prince's rock stuff the most too, but I think Musicology was far too safe for him.

Speaking of Prince's rock stuff, I recently got hold of "The Undertaker" video that he did in 1994, which was a rock-based project with Prince on guitar and vox, Sonny T on bass and Michael B on drums. Just a stripped down 3 piece playing rock and blues. It's some tight shit, Prince actually wanted to give it away as a free CD with "Guitar Player" magazine but Warner Brothers wouldnt let him do it.

fo sho on that I mean Satisfied is str8 off Sign O the Time (Slow Love) and Black Sweat as well as Lolita is on some 1999 tip, even features the most of Prince's old people (Sheila E., Claire Fisher who helped to create the masterpiece known as Pink Cashmere)

Word reminds me of LoveSexxy, Fury obvisouly 1999 and Incense and Candles is a return to old school espcially when he breaks it down.

Clare Fischer. Been doing orchestral arrangements for Prince since 'Parade'. My favorite stuff he did was what he added to "Crystal Ball", personally.

And yeah Sheila adds some of her bad-ass percussion to 'Get On The Boat'.

The Word reminds me a lil of Lovesexy era as well. People keep saying Fury is similar to 1999, but it's only a slightly similar melody, the overall track reminds me more of "The Gold Experience"-era, more particularly 'Endorphinmachine'.
