Guyz,

Right theres all this bizz niss about George Bush hatin' black ppl?.... does any one think it would have been different if it was in a different state like L.A where it is not mainly black populated?....Does george bush really hate black people?.. or is it al blown outta proportion?.. were they just un-prepared?.

Your Thoughts..

blown way out of proportion. very un-prepared on many levels, local , state, federal.
if it were another state, same results in my opinion. but honestly there aren't too many cities like new orleans. it's built on a swamp. it was in a fishbowl. there really wasnt much that could have been done to stop the flooding is there?

i think all of this depends on where you're at.

i'm pretty sure everyone and anyone thats had first hand interaction with the evacuee's will say it's racism. or even a matter of simply being "low class".

unfortunately, with the evac's that've come to our city its hard to excuse it as something else. not too mention the other side effects we've had in our surrounding parish's cause of this. all them poor and the majority black. add this to the already present and still lasting racism we have here and... well, u get my point.

The lack of preparation and the lack of a timely response as people made their way out of the shit only to die on I-10 and at the Superdome because nobody was there to help them is ridiculous. The government (state and national) severely underestimated the seriousness of the situation and by the time they acted it was far too late. I would say that a more intelligent thing to be said is that Bush doesn't care about poor people. In this case I think it is more of a socioeconomic slight versus a racial one. However, many poor people in New Orleans are black. If a similar tragedy happened in West Virginia the response time would probably be just as slow. In my opinion FEMA and the Department of Homeland security have American blood on their hands right now. Hundreds of trucks and busses should have been waiting on I-10 by Wednesday morning at the latest. Both organizations should be fucking ashamed of themselves.

biloxi will be rebuilt way b4 new orleans...

biloxi all there is is clean up and rebuild (biloxi has a very profitable casino bussiness.. = MONEY for the feds... thats a priority to get rebuilt you will see)

New Orleans is gonna be tore down... then rebuilt over a long fukking period of time...the only time N.O. makes money is during mardi gras

N.O. P.D. makes $16,000 a yr when they get hired.. wtf that shows you theres no money down there.. they dont care about that place

im not saying that U.S shouldnt help other countries but maybe they should look after their own, before racing off to other countries hours after a disaster, shit like that, as extreme as it may sound could wel cause shit like civil war and political break-downs of goverments...

What about the oil refineries? If the oil companies are making record profits right now then that probably means record taxes being taken in on that profit.

n.o. is just a port.. they can easily move it to houston which im sure they have there too...

also you dont need the city runnin for the oil refineries to runn,.. alll you need is a pipe line

yeh, they make money from oil and stuff aswell , but a load of the rigs are gone now so they have very little hope, its like a small 3rd world country, on the edge of U.S.A

I wish that I would have gone to Mardi Gras this year. I've been a couple of times before, but I would have liked to spend some time at the last one in "old New Orleans". A lot of history has been destroyed. Some of those old plantation homes and many other buildings down there were incredible.

it's really not that extreme. i think it has very good chance of happening in our lifetime.

The federal government being overthown in our lifetime is pretty extreme in my book.
