Not been discussed before as far as I can see, so i'll bring it up. The E92 M is out soon, been unveiled. I think it's a great evolution, many people hate it though compared to the E46 outgoing gen

i love the old m3, it was sexy. but i love the lines of this car. its so sporty, luxurious, and aggressive lookin at the same time. its balanced out perfectly.

We were talkin about it in a different thread, it is my favorite car coming out. This pic is from the Automobile mag isnt it?

^ The pics were printed in Automobile (I have the issue), but they are official BMW pics that they gave to the magazine. Personally, I think the new M3 should be a fun car, but it's not going to own the game. The older (but current-gen) Audi RS4 has around the same amount of hp but more torque while the Mercedes C63 AMG has MUCH more horsepower even in its detuned state but with gobs more torque and supposedly better handling. A 335i with a good ECU reflash can give an M3 a run for its money.

RS4 = fat pig.

Merc = auto with sh1t handling, if you think a merc can hadnle better than a BMW then your wrong. Merc is also heavy.

the rs4 and m3 are at the same weight. however the benz really is heavier by like 200lbs. the 335i with a chip (which probably voids the warranty) can def give an m3 a run for its money but only on straights. the corners is a completely different story but the m3 is a different car. its a v8, wider body with the fender flares, bigger brakes, stiffer suspension, wider and bigger tires and its more rare. itll outhandle the 335i with ease. i know you can make the 335i handle better and all that. but for the people buying it, they are buying a car that is more rare, more power and handles better from factory without mods. and it comes with a warranty.

Do you not read any reviews? It sounds like you're basing your assumptions off of the past. The C63 is supposed to hand the M3 its ass. Yes, it has an auto, but the current 7G-Tronic is awesome, and in AMG form its supposed to be almost indistinguishable from the other automated manual gearboxes. Shit handling? Not anymore. Besides, I doubt you yourself have ever driven an AMG. Or even an M3. Maybe you should do your homework. Read this while you're at it:

I still dont like the idea of comparing the c63 to the m3 or s4 for that matter. With that much bigger of an engine I sure hope it would hand the M3 its ass.

Have you not taken your medication? I'm not prepared to sit here and talk/argue/debate with any of the 'trojans' that dwell in the cesspit of streethop forums.

You sound like you should be in the Honda forums, where paper numbers mean everything. Debating about which car has got more HP got old a real long time ago, people don't buy cars based on a HP number, only forum drivers do that.

most people at this level of car are marque loyal anyway, not because of the 'name', but the car attributes associated with it...they don't have time to bicker like pre-school children about whether supermans harder than spiderman.

I'm not asking you to argue or debate. You can say all you want about numbers or thinking I belong in the Honda forums (even though I am a mod of this car forum as well as several others), but go back and look at any of my posts from this thread... I haven't even mentioned a SINGLE number (unless the "63" in "C63" counts), so don't even attempt to save face by trying to throw all sorts of childish disses at me without even truly addressing the post you're replying to with the exception of saying you don't want to "talk/argue/debate" in a MESSAGE FORUM... who would've thought... though most people who say that are usually people who don't want to admit that they're wrong. And if you don't want to "bicker like pre-school children" by talking about information provided by the manufacturers and car publications, then why don't you share your personal experiences with the cars? Oh wait, you don't have any. Truth be told, neither have I (since they're not out in the U.S.), but the fact of the matter is that you, I and everyone else on this board is limited to trusting the journalistic reviews provided by the likes of Motor Trend, Automobile, Road & Track, etc... whether they're biased toward one brand or not. And those same magazines all seem to feel that BMW has a lot to worry about since this new AMG is no joke, based on real information, like their familiarity with the new engine as well as the awesome suspension setup trickled down from the CLK63 AMG Black Series, which lapped the Nurburgring in 7 minutes 52 seconds which is incredible for any car, especially an "auto with sh1t handling," seeing how it also was fitted with the same 7G-Tronic gearbox and suspension layout and engine (though with a few extra ponies) that will be in the C63. Whoops...

It sounds like you just like to base your opinions on word associations... which is fine, because it's your opinion and I'm not shitting on you for it. But the "M3 = fastest" and "Mercedes = heavy and slow" mentalities are fading away fast. Yes, they were true at one point, and I can say so myself, seeing how I have driven both the E46 M3 and C55 AMG around corners and up to speeds more than double the speed limit. But welcome to the future, Mercedes isn't playing around anymore.

Shit, especially that Black Series AMG. Thing looks like it means business! The nutty professors even ripped the rear seats out. Now that's thinking I can get behind!

What's up with those side bumper scoops? They're big enough to swallow small mammals, ffs. Overkill. I guess it's a fun car, but 400k for that? Most of that money is spent on bragging rights I suppose, and to be brutally honest, performance isn't even that impressive if you consider the power output of the thing...

you would also look retarded driving that... but still, if you want a quick fling on the track, that'd be a sweet car to do it in... i actually didnt pay attention to the price tag.. but 440K??? wasnt that brabus tuned CL something like 180 or 160?

and brabus actually overdid it with the smartcar.... that has to be the gayest thing ever...

If you want a quick thing on the track, you do not want something that's nudging two tonnes, although I'm sure with that kind of power it's still quick.
