Well, I went to abovetopsecret.com, not a fan of that site, but I was looking up some classified US military aircraft and then went into the other sections for fun.

That is where I came about this article, and Ive done some quick research into it and the WW2 stuff they base it on is actually factual which kind of adds merit to the whole thing. It certainly is possible.

Its a long read but give it a go. Ignore the conspiracy theory stuff if you dont believe in New World Orders and the such and just look at it from a top secret technology view point; ignoring any possible motives. What do you think?

Theory on Nazis' Flying Saucers

A 1945s document describing Haunebu III

Since in World War II most of the runways were being destroyed by Allied bombing, Nazi Germany wanted an aircraft that was powered by alternative energy and that had the ability to take-off vertically. In 1936 a group of scientists from the SS development unit, was in charge to develop the requested aircraft.
According to discaircraft.greyfalcon.us, in 1939, this unit designed “a revolutionary electro-magnetic-gravitic (EMG) engine which improved Hans Coler’s free energy machine into an energy Konverter coupled to a Van De Graaf band generator and Marconi vortex dynamo (a spherical tank of mercury) to create powerful rotating electromagnetic fields that affected gravity and reduced mass”.[3]
In 1939, SS had produced the flying saucer which was called Haunebu I. It has a diameter of 24.95 meters and several resources claimed that Haunebu I prototypes were able to reach a top speed of 4,800 km/h but, theoretically, it was capable of achieving a top speed of 17,000 km/h.[4] Only two prototypes were produced, each of which was equipped with a twin 60mm gun. Haunebu I was powered by an EMG engine.
The Haunebu I diameter was then enlarged to 26 meters and thus in 1942 Haunebu II was introduced. It could reach a top speed of 6,000 km/h (theoretically up to 21,000 km/h). By 1944, a perfected model of Haunebu II was tested. It was named Haunebu II Do-Stra (Dornier STRAtosphären Flugzeug). Later, in 1945, Haunebu III was designed.
In 1940 to 1945 a series of Haunebus, Vrils and RFZs ("Rundflugzeug" means "Round Aircraft") were produced simultaneously; some of these prototypes were then captured by the Americans and Soviets. Some scientists were taken to the US under the operation Paperclip. Probably in 1946, ex-Nazi and American scientists began working a flying disk project and, in fact, from 1947 onward “UFOs” sightings started becoming more common in the US.
