Im a big fight fan an i cant ever remember a fighter taking a loss as bad as nas has! barerra ended his career,he retired him, the guy has dissapeared of the face of the planet, i read an artical by a couple of his friends an they were saying he is the only one who trains in his jym! the guy is lost, its know wonder why he dont fight anymore when he fought the spanish kid calvano he looked terrible, the sad thing about this whole situation is if nas wasnt so boastfull an a nicer person he would still be the nations pride, afterall he acheived more than any other british fighter, what i mean by that is more defences of his world title, if hatton gets beat by tyzu which he will he will still be loved by everyone even tho he never acheived what nas did, its hard to feel sorry for nas the guy thought he was the best fighter who ever lived! untill he got a severe pasting from a true mexican warrior.

did you catch that olympic medal winner last fight ( the muslim dude from britian Ahmed i think). he looked truly awful.as for naseem hamed i think alot of people lost respect for him when he said he wanted to unite the middle east- it was just a stupid thing to say. i liked his stlye but he borrowed to much from ali imo

He fucked it by being to arrogent , a lot of people were glad to see him fall , his im " invincible " thing lost its shine and i think he was deeply embarased by his defeat . i agree if he had of carried himself better he would be a legend today and would of bounced back with full support of the nation . however he still would of lost any rematch against barera , that dude had his number , naz kept going for the killer punch and when he couldnt he was out of ideas . its a shame though cause the guy was mega talented .

The only thing he borrowed from ali was toi be boastfull, the nas style comes from brendan ingle, an its a crap syle! no defence, chin up, hands down, the only great young fighter nas ever fought was barerra an he got destroyed! an jamieuk is right he unloads all his punches then runs out of ideas! its a shame the guy should still be huge, but he aint he is in hiding.

I think he was highly overratted. Dont get me wrong he had crazy ass power but he had no balance what so ever. I was very happy when Marco Antonio Barrera exposed him.

Bull-shit. Naz was a great fighter before he lost to Barrera, his career stats speak for them selves. He used to fight with style and his entrances were amazing. But all good things come to an end, as did Naz's unbeaten run. Also Amir Khan is a good fighter, but we must remember he is still a kid, so what he is doin at the moment is truly amazing.

Naz is a punk, straight up. He got cleaned up by barrera and went away to skulk for a few years. He had good power for his weight class, but his arrogance and big mouth made people dislike him, much like anthony mundine here in Australia.

As the first dude asked about people taking a loss so hard, what about foreman after losing to ali?

What you talking about man great fighter my ass! he dodged many great fighters when he was champion, he beat a lot of good old fighters with the exeption of medina who is a good fighter, the guy never learned how to box, he just had power in the lower weight divisions but when he moved up he was exposed by mcoulough, sanchez ingle, an several other middle of the road fighters! an who gives a fuck about ring entrances? the true mark of a champ is how he reacts to defeat, ali, holyfield, barerra, lewis, an so on.

Yeah, and the other thing about the Foreman situation was that everyone was gainst him & he couldn't understand why.

Prince Naseem has no-one but himself to blame for people not supporting a comeback from him.

Foreman, on the other hand, should've been an American hero & yet, despite many still being against Ali, Ali got so much support around the world. Foreman was surprised at his lack of support as an African American as well. He couldn't understand why Africans were chanting for his death & yet loved Ali to bits.

I think this, coupled with throwing everything he had at Ali & still failing, really demoralized him making him take that loss hard.

And he still came back. I've got a lot of love for Foreman. I quite liked Naseem but for him not to fight back after that loss, just makes me think he's a punk.

Ye i agree, if nas came back straight away instead of feeling sorry for himself he could have won another world title an made some defences then a couple of years later challenged barerra again,if he lost again so what at least he tried, the way nas has went out is sad to say the least.

Thats true, he did seem to just 'dissapear ' after his Barerra loss. Has Naseem officially retired or not  .

Na like thugstyle says his brother has been talking about nas fighting in the middle east but they have been saying shit like this for ages, even close friends of nas say he is lost, he has no convidence, he trains alone, like i said barerra retired him, i mean if he makes a comeback he would have to fight either marquez, barerra, manni paquia,or morales eventually an im pretty sure those warriors would destroy him.

i hated naseem, he pissed me off soo much cuz he acted like he was the best in the world but never fought anyone good and when i heard he was going to fight barrera my face lit up cuz i knew barrera wud distroy him

and as 4 amir khan sum1 said he didnt look soo good in his last fight, u gotta remember the guy is only 17 years old!! and he isnt soo cocky and i think h has the temperament to become one of the best

What do you guys think are Howard Eastman's chances against Bernard Hopkins? All I have seen is his fight against William Joppy were he lost.
