Combining a snippet of presidential hopeful Barack Obama's famous "Yes We Can" speech and Tupac's bold statement, "Although it seems heaven sent. We ain't ready to have a Black president," from "I Wonder If Heaven Got a Ghetto," Nas continues the discourse started by the late rapper on his new single "Black President."

The Queensbridge emcee discusses what has now become history in the making as Obama is one step closer to becoming the first Black president. "America surprise us and let a Black man guide us," the rap star urges on the song, which is set to appear on the upcoming collaborative [insert N-word] mixtape with DJ Green Lantern.

The controversial and abrupt emcee seems to be throwing his support behind Obama, but that isn't stopping Nas from addressing his concerns. "There never been a president to address the slaughter of young black people by this country's police," Nas said in a recent interview.

"When your government's police are killing one section of people, that's genocide. There's never been a president to even acknowledge it. You don't acknowledge that? That's a big thing President Obama has to recognize when he gets in office."

According to Lantern, "Black President" will appear on the mixtape along with the Saleem Remi produced track, "Legendary," which was recorded for the forthcoming Mike Tyson documentary. There is no official release date for the tape. Nas' untitled ninth studio album is due in stores on July 1.
