Brown had every right to murder those holding slaves captive.
Not only is that justification absurd on its face, but the people Brown murdered weren't even slaveholders. He murdered people from proslavery families who supported making Kansas a state where slavery would be allowed.
Among the people you claim deserved death were teenagers.
but I will argue that he was the first to make the voyage. Therefore, he didn't discover the Americas, contrary to what we teach our children in school.
Nobody even argues this. I'm older than you and learned all about Red and Leif Ericsson and the Vikings going to Iceland/Greenland and possibly North America.
Columbus's voyage was important because it discovered the New World for the Western Euoprean powers, ushering in the Golden Age of Discovery and colonial imperialism that set the historical chain of events in motion all the way up until today. That's worth celebrating to me.
Nobody's a saint. I've posted over 7000 times on a message board dedicated to a man who was banned from performing in my home city of Milwaukee due to his violent antics at a concert in 94. What a weird thread this turned into, considering Pac was obviously no stranger to violence.
