cars got about 8,000 miles on it so far, and picked up my rims and tires yesterday, got a really good deal, only 250$ for the set and theyre basically brand new i think something like 1,000 miles on the rims and tires. my area manager had them sitting around his garage. had them on his srt4 but he hit a brick and destroyed one of the rims. sold the srt4 and sold me the three rims, ordered the fourth one for like 130 or some shit. will post up more pics if anyone wants to see...

peac4.

edit::: oh yeah its a 5 spd

Good looking car man. 15k is very chaep I wish my car cost that. I just bought a car 2 months ago a BMW 3 series 2007. Love the new car smell.

I see you front windows are tinted, what is the law regarding that in Florida? Here in California you can't do that for law enforcement's safety.

now thats a nice car!

as far as the windows, the front two are 20 percent, and the rear is 15 percent. im pretty sure the law is 15 percent in the rear and 30 percent in the front (FL). most of the time if cops see tht the front windows are lighter they dont fuck with you around here. you can get away with almost anything unless you're one of those loud honda boys.

Nice ride, those Mazda 3s are good cars. Which HID kit did you install? 6000K?

thanks. its actually 10,000k. visibility obviously isnt as good as a 6k kit, but its not as bad as people would think. they do look really good at night...

^ I don't know why I said 6000K, I knew they were definitely higher but I didn't expect them to be 10000K. Why did you go with something that high, other than how they "look at night"?

well since theyre headlights, i think how they look at night means everything :)

seriously though i realize looks arent everything and visibility is definately a big issue. these lights are definately way brigher than stock halogens or those gay tinted bulbs. i guess to answer the question of why i went for 10,000k is because my friend got them in his car before me and i thought they were awesome so i got the same kit.

^ Fair enough. Hopefully you understood what I meant when I said how they look, referring to the appearance of the headlights rather than the brightness of the illuminated road.

Generally speaking, 4300K to 6000K is the most effective range, and as you continue to go beyond 6000K, it tends to look cooler (bluish/purplish-looking headlights), the light is less effective. But as long as they light up the road better than your factory halogens, then it's a good step up.

yeah i understood you man.

im thinking of gettin a 55w kit. dont you drive an evo or something? i recall seeing that on your ava at mrmak.

I still think some of the higher-end Benzes have the greatest headlights known to man. My brother and I went to the UCLA/Notre Dame football game last Saturday and were driving in my brother's Civic next to an S65 AMG... I swear, in comparison, the road in front of us looked like we were holding a flashlight in front of the car while the road in front of the Mercedes looked like a UFO was shining light down and abducting cars.

yeah, definately.

i think their projectors are alot different then on cheaper cars. i think the HIDs are somewhere around 6000k maybe? something about how the projectors are made that give them that special look. ill probably never use halogens again. HID all the way.
