I like the "Classic Albums" series, because they go in-depth into studio techniques, etc. I have the Nirvana- Nevermind one on DVD and it has great sections in Butch Vig's studio where he talks about his methods of recording, producing and mixing the album. It's awesome.

I'm waiting for a decent documentary on Kurt's life though, there's supposed to be a really good one coming out later this year called "Been A Son".

'Live Forever' is one of my favs, is about the birth of Brit Pop in the early 90's amongst the political landscape of 'new labour' and 'new Britain.'

On the 10th anniversary DVD edition of the Oasis album of the same name - Live Forever - there's a cool documentary on the making of the album.

Metallica:some kind of monster
Saw these two last week. The Spinal Tap one was pretty funny, I liked how it wasn't too obvious that it was a joke. The Metallica one was pretty interesting, I wanted to see more of the conversation with Dave Mustaine though.

Chrotom I am proud of your sig image.

I only like in the studio movie documentaries. I don't really watch much regardless, but I really liked Fade to Black minus the concert footage.

I downloaded that and Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast, Motörhead - Ace of Spaces, The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland, Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks, Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon. All were pretty interesting to see.
