MTV Rates Makaveli as #9 on Greatest Hip Hop Albums!?!?

All Eyez On Me - I dont care how many people or "experts" say that this album has alot of filler, Ya ya ya, There are so many hits on that album its not even funny, and the so called "filler" is even good.
All Eyez On Me and Makaveli are great albums (sales agree), i dont really listen to other rap too much, so i cant really judge "Illmatic" or other albums other then the "Chronic" on there. All I know it is pretty odd that 2pac is pretty much the number 1 rated solo rap artist by the people, that pretty odd not to have a single album in the top ten in that case. 2pac Touched People, Biggie didnt, Nas really didnt, 2pac somehow went to your heart, and that is priceless, if one song can go to your heart, it doesnt matter about the rest of them.
As long as one album of 2pac's is on there, Im okay about it, but for these people to be saying they dont feel it should be on there cause its bullshit. They obviously feel Bomb First and Against all Oddz are hardcore filler because they talk some shit about their gay rappers.

And wtf was that dude talking about wasnt Gold before Deathrow....
and corny? Me Against the World, Lord Knows, Dear Mama, Keep Ya Head Up, Bredas got a Baby, I get around, Papaz Song, Pour out a Lil Liquor, How Long will they mourn me.... And last time I checked Me Against the World was passed Gold.

I'd like to see who made this list..... and i'm SURE they're not from NYC. fuckin biased media

Just because someone didn't put Pac or a Pac album as number one you have to have a fit? I mean I love 2Pac but when people do lists and stuff like this it's going vary depending on the person/people putting the list together that is based on their opinion(s)...

Yeah but when that judgement is decided on character, then the list and there judgement is absolutely wrong. No one has the right to judge person character on television. MTV is getting out of control.

It's MTV and when they he contradict himself you have to realize when you hit the booth several times over a period of time you have different feelings like one day somebody might rub you the wrong way and you feel like bombing on somebody so what do you, you write a track dissing everyone and the next day you might just had the best piece of pussy in your life so what do you do, you write about it

oh yeah, MTV does suck these days... :thumb:

10. Canibus - Rip The Jacker
9. Tribe Called Quest - Low End Theory
8. Boogie Down Productions - Criminal Minded
7. Biggie - Ready To Die
6. Common - Resurrection
5. Public Enemy - Nation of Millions
4. Wu-Tang - 36 Chambers
3. 2Pac - Me Against The World
2. Nas - Illmatic
1. Eric B. & Rakim - Paid In Full

At least MTV had the cojones to put my top 2 as their top 2 (even pac can't top illmatic or paid in full), but Jay-Z? Dre? No offense to these two MCs but production alone won't carry an album (Dre having lyrical skill? Pffft please), and as cool as Reasonable Doubt, was I don't know what was so GROUNDBREAKING about it. All these other albums i listed have something revolutionary/groundbreaking to them if u think about it.

We all know the reasoning is stupid as hell. So moving on..

You know character has an influence on how people judge the music.
Rappers get judged on character everyday, fair or not, they do. Everyone of us has judged a rapper by his character... that's human.

Some people would put Makaveli on #9 and others will put 4 of Tupac's albums on 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th.
There is no doubt in my mind that haters will judge Tupac for his bad characteristics and dickriders will judge Tupac for his good characteristics.

i.e.

Tupac was such a good person, he cared about his people. He had an amazing work ethic and a great soul. He is the best rapper.

Tupac is talented but he started dissing people and he came across as a hater. He didn't know when to shut his mouth. I think Tupac's albums aren't better than [fill in the blank]

So in conclusion: There are haters and there are dickriders. We all should be in between, that way we don't get shitty lists of Top 10 Whatever. As matter of fact, we shouldn't care what MTV has to say about what the Top 10 Albums are, make your own decision. Too many people rely on others for their opinion on what a good music is. You post up a mixtape and you got people asking which tracks are the best. MTV viewers listen to the radio because they need somebody to make a playlist for them.

(Fuck, we can sit here and argue about which Tupac album is the best.. is it Makaveli? Is it AEOM? Or MATG? Wait.. this isn't a conclusion, I'm just going off on some shit so I'll stop now.)

That top10 list is fucked, its fucking stupid. Saying illmatic is #2? they just east coast dick ryders and dont see the fuckin big picture, illmatic is good i aint sayin it aint, but wat nas did with illmatic and how long it took him and how much emotion he put into that album, 2pac did all that and more in 7 days, rating matic better than 7 day is fucking stupid.

Pac in my opinion wasnt even at his peak on that album. He had so much more to give. If pac was still alive they'd be sayin he was #1 but rating him as #9 is damn disrespectful and damn shit. Some eastcoast peeps need a fucking clue. Damn haters.

...the only thing i didn't like was the shit they talked. it's okay to criticize (although some of us on this board cant take it) but to say 'he's a hater', 'i don't like him cuz he dissed new york' is just bullshit. I think they are frustated or jealous about tupac's succes or something cuz all other reviews were criticless and that's even more sad.

I liked all the albums on this list i agree the most but tupac is the only one who really ever touched my heart and they can't take that away, especially not with this bullshit.

Good point. The fact that they are talking like they're still mad at Pac for dissin' New York, even tho he's been dead for over 8 years, shows that their opinions don't count for shit.

It's all about preference. It's easy to name 25 hot albums. It's harder to put them in an order.

My favourite album is Doggystyle, but that didn't make the top 10. Am I upset. No. It aint my album. If you get upset because 2pac isn't in the top 10 you need to take a step back, you are too much on Pac's dick.

But if you are upset he never made number 1, you are a dickrider.

Understand we all have different opinions, including MTV who are obviously biased, so just because he's your number 1, doesn't mean he should be mine or anyone elses.

If it was up to a lot of you... There'd be 5 Pac albums in the top 10. now that would be a dumb list.

EDIT - I added this quote. Incase you missed it, read it.

Are they so stupid as to not know that Pac wasn't dissing New York, he was dissing the people he had beef with. It's not like he wasn't down with Naughty by Nature, Apache etc. Fucking idiots.
