A tour bus carrying artists Mr. Lif, The Coup, and several other friends crashed outside of San Diego on Saturday morning (Dec. 2). According to a Def Jux representative, their bus ran off road, flipped over, and burst into flames.
While everyone onboard managed to escape, four individuals – including Silk-E of the Coup, Zarha (Mr. Lif’s assistant), and DJ Big Wiz – are currently hospitalized and being treated for more serious injuries. Meanwhile the bus and everything in it was destroyed in the fire.
"The tour bus ran off the road for a 30-foot drop," said Mr. Lif. "Everyone is alive, but four need extensive hospitalization and surgery. We appreciate all concern and would like to thank everyone who was planning to attend our shows."
Their remaining tour dates, which stretched from Denver to New York, have been cancelled.
