wow, i guess no one likes Motown? wtf?

okay.

Nice song Snowman, but I NEVER heard anyone say THAT song was their favorite by Motown.

If you don't mind me asking does it hit close to home? :(

Anyway,

It's not my favorite, but I like Smokey Robinson - Being With You.

My sister got me addicted to Smokey Robinson again!

^^^oh, i love Motown...i think it's the greatest music ever. one of my faves is David Ruffin's "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted". I know you want a youtube link, but I don't want to put one up. Take that, take that.

you know shadows thats a shame people dont know what music really is. your not a true music fan unless you can listen to all kinds of music. if it wasnt for motown a lot of these rappers wouldnt be here today.

i get sick of hearing people saying *oh im a true music fan i love rap*. i tell them your not a true music fan theres more to music than hip-hop. go sit down one day and listen to rock, jazz, the blues, people would surprise themselves if they sat down and listen to some Beatles, or throw on some muddy waters and BB King. good music from aretha franklin, smokey robinson is a legend. and many others of motown.

different types of music are stories of different cultures.

im surprised Casey hasnt replied yet. he knows the different types of music out there. which is great.. he would be fun to talk music with.

Hey guys, sorry I have been hella busy and hadnt seen this thread yet. Yep, lets discuss Motown! I'm a HUGE fan, my mother had these 'Motown Chartbusters' compilation cassettes that I would listen to since I was born, basically and I've been a big fan my entire life and collected a lot of Motown stuff over the years.

When I have a bit more time I'll write more, but just wanted you guys to know that I had seen this thread.

The Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, David Ruffin, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, The Temptations, Gladys Knight & The Pips......Motown at its peak was arguably the greatest label of all time.
