More incidents - London Underground closed again

INCIDENTS REPORTED NEAR TUBE STATIONS

There have been unconfirmed reports of an apparently minor explosion on the London Underground.

There are no reports of casualties.

A series of incidents have been reported near Warren Street, Oval and Shepherd's Bush stations on the London Underground.

The stations have been evacuated.

Train passenger Ivan McCracken told Sky News he spoke to an Italian man who witnessed an explosion.

"He told me he had seen a man carrying a rucksack which suddenly exploded. It was a minor explosion but enough to blow open his rucksack. Everyone rushed from the carriage. People evacuated very quickly. There was no panic.

"I didn't see anyone injured but there was shock and fright.

"There was a smell of smoke."

"The man who was holding the rucksack looked extremely dismayed.

Police have cordoned off the streets around Warren Street station. They said a suspect package had been reported on a Victoria Line train.

Sky reporter Mark White said authorities are "pushing everybody as far back from the station as they can".

It is two weeks to the day since bombers attacked three Tube trains and a bus in central London.

Watching news now, update:

Nail Bomb used (Warren Street)
Man was shooting then ran from the station (Warren Street)
Tubes attacked again
Underground is closed for time being
Oval attacked as well

Warren Street there was an attempted suicide but bomb failed, only one injured. Fuck you terrorists. Detenator went off but bomb didnt. Not a major incident say police

IT WAS 3 BOMBINGS NO?

PLUS A BUS EXPLODED TOO IN HACKNEY, EAST LONDON.(no casualties either)

EVERYBODY BE CAREFULL YA´LL...

(It seem they were gonna do the same shit they did 2 weeks ago but failed...)

Apparently one guy was seen running from a subway station after leaving a bomb there. Hopefully they hunt him down and beat him to within an inch of his life, then stick him in jail and throw away the key.

^ hopefully :thumb:

TUBE EXPLOSION REPORTED

There have been unconfirmed reports of an explosion on the London Underground, and an incident on a bus in Hackney, East London.

Stations at Warren Street, Oval and Shepherd's Bush have been closed.

Scotland Yard could not confirm reports that armed police have entered University College Hospital in Bloomsbury near Warren Street station.

Men in chemical protection suits have been seen appearing to enter the station, where British Transport Police say one person has been injured.

Services on the Victoria, Northern and Hammersmith & City and Bakerloo Lines have been suspended.

Emergency services started receiving calls just after 12.30.

At Warren Street there were reports of shots and a nail bomb explosion. Sky's Crime Correspondent Martin Brunt said police believe this may have been the sound of detonators going off.

Victoria Line train passenger Ivan McCracken told Sky News he spoke to an Italian man who witnessed an explosion just after the train arrived at the platform.

"The man who was holding the rucksack looked extremely dismayed."

One witness told Sky News that passengers tried to prevent a man with a rucksack running away but they failed.

Police have cordoned off the streets around Warren Street station. Sky reporter Mark White said: "Police activity suggests that they are looking for somebody on the outside here."

Scotland Yard said emergency services responded to an "incident" on a Number 26 bus in Hackney Road, on a junction near Colombia Road, east London.

Bus operator Stagecoach said the driver heard a bang at around 1.30pm.

The bus had left Waterloo and was in Shoreditch when the incident happened.

"The driver heard a bang which appeared to come from the upper deck. When he went upstairs to investigate, the windows on the upper deck were blown out.

"The bus is structurally intact and we don't have any reports of injuries," said a spokesman.

Sky News Foreign Affairs editor Tim Marshall said: "There is a bus parked there which is empty and there is nobody anywhere near it. This does indicate that police think the bus is still dangerous."

Sky News Online's Rob Cole is at Shepherd's Bush. He said: "The whole of Shepherd's Bush Green is sealed off. About 400 metres on both sides of the Tube station is affected."

Network Rail say all mainline train services are running from London stations.

It is two weeks to the day since bombers attacked three Tube trains and a bus in central London.

Im actually quite impressed with Howard's speaking at this press conference with Blair; he hasnt made himself look like an idiot yet, which is rare.

His speach about terrorism is actually on point fact wise; which is also rare, and Im glad he mentioned Bali, I think that tends to be over looked a little in light of 9/11.

oh right, i must have heard someone else talking before then.

i am sure it will be on the news again later i am at work so can't watch a tv now!

Thanks for the info :)

Blair really is a good speaker, he speaks directly to the people, whereas Howard triea to sound intelligent, albiet actually accomplishing it this time (he's been in power long enough maybe he finally learnt some public speaking skills). But Blair has that charism and ease of talking that Clinton had and Bush has wet dreams about.

Basically it was the same shit, should we pull out of Iraq to avoid future attacks. And Howard's case was that no, because Bali and 9/11 happened before Iraq so Iraq is irrelevant, and in regards to Bin Laden and Australian, Bin Laden first mentioned Australia because we "freed" East Timor.

But what impressed me was Howard's comments about how well the people of London have handled these crisis’s -- and he actually seemed sincere. I haven’t seen him speak next to Blair in ages, but I know when he speaks next to Bush he seems to want to kiss the US’s ass so much that he just comes across as a school boy groupie, but this time he seemed mature and confident.

Bout time he learned, he’s been in power for like 12 years.

Anyway, I’m off to bed.

Stay safe ya’all.

HOSPITAL ON ALERT

Armed officers were sent to University College Hospital amid reports of a man seen with wires sticking out of his pocket.

An internal memo to staff has warned them to be on the lookout for a black male, possibly of Asian origin, about 6ft 2ins tall wearing a blue top with wires protruding from the back of the top.

Staff have been urged to phone 999 if they see the man and not to approach him.

Police have confirmed they are attending an "incident" at the Bloomsbury hospital, which is near Warren Street station.

Three armed officers had been seen entering the major incident unit just minutes before a person was carried from an ambulance into the unit on a stretcher.

There were reports that someone had been seen "running away" from Warren Street station in the wake of the incident there.

A police spokesman said: "We are dealing with an incident at University College Hospital and we have armed officers deployed there.

"We cannot go into any further detail at this stage."

Victims of the July 7 London bombings were treated at UCH.

Blair has always been an excellent public speaker. He has a great touch and always comes across with sincerity, something which most politicans fail to do.
