Rape, according to the government, is whenever there's intercourse between someone over 18 and someone below 18. So, if an 18 year old has intercourse with a 17 year old, it is rape.

That's why I don't understand exactly what happened in this story. Was it consensual or not? Because the word "rape" was used, it may not necessarily have been rape. Like I said, legally, there's another definition.

i think it was consensual. no mother would just sit back and watch a kid rape her daughter. the mother knew they were getting it on and it sounded like the girls were into the guys. they exchanged number, made plans to meet and told them to come over to their place. they wanted to get some ass.

The reality of the situation is, the girl was most likely going to have sex by the time she's 16, anyways. It was either by some ugly ass dude that her mom wasn't going to know about, or I presume, some hot, young guy that her mom found in the restaurant or wherever it was. Judging from the article, I think the girls liked it. Girls are growing up rapidly, and the girl probably looked like she was ready. She probably wasn't a 4 foot, 90lb, Japanese girl.

it was pretty common in at my high school. i knew seniors that were dating 8th graders. i never understood it myself. you cant do anything with the 13 year old but take her to your room when no ones looking. you sure can take her to an R rated movie or go to the movies for that matter with out everyone looking and pointing.
