Mitsubishi throws an annual Mitsubishi Owners Day, and they usually give away free stuff and a lot of companies advertise their products. Pretty much the entire parking lot is a car show, and people who drive in have the option of filling out an application and leaving it on their windshield, indicating that they would like to enter their car into the owners' competition, and the Mitsu people walk around and snap pictures of the cars and judge them in the afternoon. Here are some pics of various things:

Row of Evos (where mine is)... just ONE row of much more than ten

Definitely NOT a street-driven Evo :P

Regarding the prototype in the picture, the actual production model will be about 95% identical to it. The changes are the amber inserts at the outside end of the headlights, the deletion of the LED lights in the front, and round lights rather than the flat LED ones to the left and right of the front air dam.

And of course, the production-spec wheels won't be that big.

I thought they'd cocked up the looks of the X, but it's good! Looks nice. Lawlers @ duct tape Evo. Nice.

Were there any older Evo's? 2nd, 3rd gen? I see one next to duct tape Evo and it got me wondering if there are any proper older Evo's that are still well maintained and driven and tuned. Well wrenched up they should be very competitive cars, seeing that they weight a good 150 kg less than Gen 4 and upward Evo's.

There were a few older Evos, but the one next to it in the picture wasn't an Evo, just a standard Mirage (the U.S. equivalent of the standard Lancer from years ago). Most of the older Evos were parked in special areas designated for rarer cars/vendor cars. I saw a few LHD Evo VIs and VIIs, though I'm sure there were a few older ones.

Here's a pic of pretty much a production-spec Evo X... you'll notice the differences that I pointed out, plus the regular mirrors (versus the more aerodynamic ones on the prototype) and the side markers. I didn't take this, I found it this morning on another website, it was taken in Japan.

Still looks decent, although I'm not too sure about the huge black area in the middle. The silver/chrome accents in the prototype break up the black mass, but those accents have been left out in this. Kinda mulls it all down.
