tell me about it man, i get people on the phone wondering why their electrics have gone. CHECK YOUR DAMN FUSE BOX! i always get the reply "im not touching it cos im not an electrician". i answer back with "it doesnt take an electrician to flick an insulated switch back up. do it otherwise if one of our workmen attend you will be charged for the work to be completed. this includes call out charge, charge for completion of job, and that excludes VAT so then add the VAT on top.". - oh i am a badman indeed. then they have no choice.
also, i get "my toilet dont flush, what i am gonna do?". use a bucket of water and chuck it down.
p.s. these people are council tenants and pay like £10 a week or whatever to live in a council property in run down areas.
i frequently get "why are all my things breaking? what do i pay council tax and my rent for?" we sometimes reply back with "we pay council tax and rent too, but we dont get free repairs" - ooh the cheek of the employees. no really, sometimes you have to be hard on them because they lie alot to get work done for free. even some OAP's (who are the priority because theyre vulnerable) dont mind waiting longer and are not so pushy and perfectly honest yet those younger people who are perfectly cabale of coping demand things to be completed straight away.
this is not on topic, but im passionate about helping people who need help most. how did the discussion come to this? it might sound like im rude at work, but my performance is the best lol and i do be very polite like in real life, but theres times when i just argue with the customer (but only when im in the right, because then i have the right to stand up for myself and tell them where they cannot get everything because thats not the way it works).
preach. be proud of me, please.
very true indeed. who knows? making another way to access the site could help activity. but i cant see it making much difference as the www on a pc is the main access to websites not mobile sites but it would still be a good idea.
