OK, I said I would do this so here it is. Multiple people have been sending me messages asking for rare Prince stuff, outtakes and live stuff. So in this thread I will do this, and update it sporadically.
Everyone has their own favorite era of Prince, and I can't cater to everyone. If you have specific requests then I might be to help with some of that, otherwise you're just going to have to trust in my music taste regarding which cuts I pull out of the bag.
I'll be uploading to Rapidshare, so if anyone has a problem with that let me know. I don't really want to be uploading retail stuff in here so don't ask. Just unreleased/rare/live/remixes.
I'll only upload a few at a time, each time. This isnt somewhere where you're going to be able to come and download a shitload of MP3s and probably not even listen to them all. Each track must be appreciated individually.

Prince - Do Me, Baby (live from The Homecoming, Minneapolis Met Center, Controversy Tour 1983)
I first came across this whilst watching a live audience-filmed bootleg of this concert that I have on DVD. Listen to Brown Mark's bass, it sounds bad ass. This is an absolute gem of a live performance, after watching the DVD I just had to go and seek out the audio.
The DVD was professionally pressed by some label in Germany (despite being an audience filmed bootleg) and distributed to shops in Europe (I found it in a shop in Birmingham, UK), and was recently in the news for getting banned. Stupid thing is, the gig is from 1983 and the picture on the cover is from 1990, lol. It still pops up on eBay a lot, though.

Prince - Strange Relationship (Live from Lovesexy Tour, Dortmund, 1988)
Another one from a DVD. At least an official release though, although not in DVD format. The Lovesexy Dortmund show was pro-shot and officially released on VHS back in the 80's. No official DVD release as of yet, but some excellent fan-converted bootleg DVD's with great menu's. This short 1 and a half piano version of Strange Relationship is mindblowing. Well worth seeing the video or DVD if you can find it, it's probably the pinnacle of Prince's entire career, live-show wise. Everyone who I have made a DVD for has been astounded by the show.

Prince & The Revolution - Purple Rain (Live from Syracuse, NY, March 30th, 1985)
Probably one of the most legendary performances of this song. 18m49 of one of the greatest songs ever and played by a band at the top of their game. Listen to the screams when Prince walks out on stage after the band have already been jamming the groove for 4 minutes with Wendy playing some incredible rhythm guitar. Then at 5 minutes 10 when he picks up his guitar and plays an absolutely incredible solo - this is before he's even sang a note of it! Then at 6 minutes something when he finally comes in with the vocal.....one of the best performances of one of the best songs ever. I could go on and on about this performance forever. Just when you think it couldnt get better, listen to the solo he pulls out at the 10 minute mark...and I promise your jaw will drop to the floor. I DARE you to get high and listen to this, it's like having a religious experience.
The only other version of Purple Rain that is as good as this one is it's live debut at First Avenue, MN with the additional verse which was Wendy's debut with the band and when the first few tracks which would end up on Purple Rain were played for the first time (including 'Computer Blue', 'Let's Go Crazy' and 'I Would Die 4 U")

I'll be back tomorrow with more uploads.... if you're lucky.
