I closed the other thread - I had to delete 6 or 7 idiotic messages from some clown who now thankfully has been banned.

So here's Part II.

Bornstruggler requested some Diamonds & Pearls era outtakes. So let's have a look at what I can find.

-------------------------------------------

Prince & The New Power Generation - Daddy Pop (alternate)

Just an unreleased alternate version of 'Daddy Pop' with some different musical parts and different lyrics.

-------------------------------------------

Prince - Schoolyard

Unreleased 1990 outtake.

-------------------------------------------

more to come later...

'Poor Little Bastard' was recorded during the sessions for a musical movie called "I'll Do Anything" that Prince was doing the music for. There were some great songs recorded for the film, including "5 Women", "My Little Pill", and "Rest Of My Life". But Prince pulled out of the project, they didnt use his music and most of it remains unreleased.

'Superhero', I believe is a 1994 outtake originally intended for the NPG's "Exodus" album.

"One Song" was recorded in 1999, in that year Prince was mostly working on "Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic" and the unreleased album "High". He probably didnt intend to release it since it was posted on his then website - love4oneanother.com - and it contains a long ass speech intro.

'The One' is an outtake from 1998 and theres not much info known about it.

Yeah, I will at some point soon. I'm really sick with the flu right now so give me a few days to shake it off.
