Day 4 in LA!! Gobi, Shamrock Tattoos, Kardinal Offishall, Yukmouth and more!

LOLOL. You guys make me laugh. I mean seriously. My style is exactly that. Mine. And to the guy that called me a doped up rocker, hell yeah, thats me through and through, I sold 100,000 copies of my last album with my rock band through Sony BMG, so perhaps you should look at yourselves before trying to rip on someone that really doesn't care.

Anyway, I'm not gonna make another thread, I'll update this one for those that wanna know.

peace

The funny thing is that most of the people defending him are from Europe. To explain, people aren't trying to diss his style, which may be fine in the U.K., which I wouldn't know since I'm not from there. But what I do know is that that style is pretty lame if brought to California or any other part of the U.S. I'm not saying he has to conform and blend in perfectly, but if you want to be taken seriously and get someone close to Pac to get comfortable around you and give you as in-depth of an interview as possible, you can't be coming with a bandanna and bleached, nappy-ass braids because whoever is sitting across from you won't be focused on answering the question as accurate as possible, he/she will be thinking, "What the fuck is this English boy wearing on his head?" While some people's comments may come off more as disses, they are just trying to give you the heads up.
i agree with you.

look, the point of the contest was to win a chance to be an interviewer. last time i checked, the reporters and interviewers who get the most interesting stories typically dress professionally. if i had won the contest i would have worn a minimum of a shirt and tie, and yeah i might let it be a little baggy since we're in a hip hop context, but i certainly wouldn't look like i just crawled out of bed. i don't know militant and i don't know where he comes from, but i would have done a couple things...

1. not gush and get all hyper around "celebs." people feed off that and it shapes their responses. if you're calm and treat them as equals they will reciprocate and that is how you get a scoop that no one else has gotten. i know it's exciting, but the idea for me would be LASTING relationships and not just one time gigs. i know your commercial spots are designed to capture interest, but the questions and the grin make it look like infatuation.

2. dress for the level you want to attain. sorry, i grew up on hip hop but i still recognize that if i have a saggy ass "urban" wardrobe then our conversation will probably be on that level. if i dress myself like a professional then i will likely be addressed as such. this translates to a more technical approach that in my mind is superior. hey, i didn't make the rules either.

i'm glad you got this opportinity, and i hope you make the most out of it.

edit...
did you say you STOLE something from death row offices? i hope i didn't hear that right.

^dante I think we should merge all these threads into one & sticky it "Problem solved"
I would have & was gettin the URLS together but I always had to consult the commission on how because of the format bein different  & now only a few mods are able to go in there

its bad that when you just wana make basicaly One point about there bein a new thread every day, people go off with paragraphs just criticizin. and i dont even think theres been anythin, givin to us that Could be criticized like God damn just get on with your own life support that this is bein done and wait til the interviews are Aired before givin any type of criticizm

Its one thing to talk about how militants dressin or whatever but in the same breath you (deeeznuuuts) start goin about If you wanna be taken seriously, get someone close to Pac to be comfortable with you..." The fuck would u know? This shit is like what would be pre-talk pre-interview pre-the trip to L.a. Hes already interviewed like 5 motherfuckas chilled and ate with johnny j chilled with gobi went places with candyman ran into Yuk, ran into David Banner got interview from him. like Shit where all this comin from? and Dante nothin can be said against what u said with the dressin profesional and all of that thats the opinion but the other point, on how to create a good relationship? all this from pictures, you can tell all of this? can tell hes fuckin it up? can tell hes actin Giddy? lol

Day 4 in LA!! Gobi, Shamrock Tattoos, Kardinal Offishall, Yukmouth and more!

it would be bad if the shit was just chopped all to hell by BBC and they dont air the better questions

Let me first say i'm not defending, but i just see critism is unnecessary. You people lookn too much into this. This isn't about fashion, this is about Militant.Last time i checked this country has no fashion taste.I seen people wear snickers on suits and USA flag ties when doing interviews.
Look,i don't know Militant but i do know hes a musician, and a rock fan. So,him wearing this kind of clothes isn't suprising. Its not like hes a average white guy who listens to hip hop and puts on bandana, thats a wigger. But he seems to have his own style.Again, fact that i'm talking about all this is lame,we're looking too much into this.Instead talking about the documentary hes doing and asking questions such as how does it feel meeting this and that. But no,you want to question his fashion taste. This makes you think you only hating.Leave what hes wearing alone, talk about something else.It doesn't matter how hes dressed. It aint your buisness. Those who say im not hating are probably lying. This thread started as Militant meeting with people Pac worked with into Militant himself and his clothe wear.Ya'll are like monsters, just jumping on the guy as soon as you get a chance. If you can't bite a man from this side, you gonna go around till you find the way to bite him from other side.Just leave fashion critism outside.Like i said, trust me,you'll see worst outfit then this in this country. No offense to Militant.Guy has his own style. This is more ecceptable because hes a young fan and a musician so people hes meeting would understand where hes coming from.Again,i didn't mean to defend, but some of you critise him for no reason. You do you and he'll do himself.

ye i gotta agree with the last person... u all commentin about how militant dressin n everythin, and how he wearin his hair... what's this gotta do with you?????

he from the u.k, this is his style... he doesn't have to change this just because he comin 2 the states...

if i remember right... when all ur american rappers n u americans comin over here you dont make no exceptions 2 blend in with our dress sense...

dress sense has nothin 2 do with this - people can see through some clothes n see the real person 4 what they are and this is how they judge and respond to the person... if you cant, this is your problem... and you probably gotta look a little deeper into people's personalitys than judging them by there appearance...

good work tho militant...

It is irronically funny and the same time said, that an American would comment on Englih mans fashion.

Don't you see,hes laughing at yall comments.Yall make half a page post critising him and he comes in and makes two word post and laughs at yall and leaves.

Back on the topic, where is your next destination and who are your gonna interview next?

I think you guys being unfair. I was in the BBC final with Mil so if anyone should be saying bad things it would be me..

BUT.. I aint. Well done MIL. you doing things that others wont get a chance to do.. It dont matter if he dressed up as Ronald Mcdonald, he won and doing something that means something to him and he sharing it with people on here.

The interview will be cool, I am sure it will be restricted and edited etc..but still it something cool for a fan to do so stop bitching at him and let him enjoy it.

24th I think he flies back to UK

well done mate looks good

how did the gobi interview go? gobis a good friend of mine, (i done the original hit em up interview with him)

if ur still there and need help tracking folk down get at me

www.myspace.com/ultimate2pacfan

for all the blog updates, just thought id share this with you though:

/\ That youtube link is myself and Jonny J at his studio. He's definately one of the coolest cats I've ever kicked it with. As you know, myself and the BBC 1xtra team are making a radio documentary, but we are filming a few video clips as well to promote it, as you will see.

Anyway, gotta bounce, going to the former Death Row offices on Wilshire today, as well as the Interscope office and also linking up with Candyman 187. Keep checking the myspace for blog updates etc

You can't really criticize my comments on this matter. Firstly, I addressed the situation rationally and maturely, even trying to make up for some other people's insulting posts toward him. And regarding the "The fuck would u know?" comment, I am a very social person and always have been, seeing how my occupation and involvement in different types of activities throughout the years requires me to be able to interact with all sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds, so I would have a pretty good idea of how to approach somebody and how to get the information I'm looking for. Dante agreed with me on my points and elaborated on some of my comments you were questioning. My comments weren't made to seem as if I know Johnny J or something, all I was trying to say is that there are factors to be considered, such as etiquette and professionalism, that were somewhat sidestepped thus far.

^both of u made good points (if i didn't say that before) but my point if i just went ramblin was the shit is happenin Now and none of us know how the meetings have went etc Other than militant postin that it went great, hanged for few hours, went to eat, etc got deep in questions; all of that. so just based off of how he looks or a clip we don't know shit. its not like yall when it first announced that he won, was like Okay so lets see. give me a list of the clothes u have" "okay, now when you first meet him, you have to make sure you..." etc so don't talk shit now, in a thread thats updatin us day by day on who met what was done etc etc

and besides that this is him doin his shit and there should just be support until we Hear the interviews then the criticizing like was said earlier

& this wasnt some 'situation' that needs to be Addressed, the purpose of my comment of 'the fuck would u know?" simply means militant Would know the deal with these people because hes with them while the argument is goin on here and u don't know them and besides that you brought in about them just bein Friends of Pac theyre their own persons 2 and at the same time they probably get lot of shit from other media people or random interviewin motherfuckas and they get tired & felt up 2 just meetin answerin questions of and hangin out with just a regular fan from the UK

BBC might not even give a Fuck any way its cut they probably have their minds made up on alot of dif things with this whole show (we'll have to wait to see though) so dont even take this shit so seriously and stop talkin down on people that r doin what theyve earned the chance to do
