Gotta disagree here. Neither Stallworth or Vick's crimes would land regular people in jail for a life sentence. I think Vick got an unusually high sentence compared to regular folks committing the same crime. Stallworth got off easy, but usually D.U.I manslaughter is less than a 10yr sentence, not life.
I also don't see how it's harsh that he won't be playing in the 09' season. He did murder a person, and we can't sugar coat how BS the sentence was. I think he should be forced to play the 09' season though, and forgo all of his earnings to the family of the victim. Now it's like, "oh no... I can't play ball... I'll suffer the consequence by having a year vacation in my mansion". I hardly feel bad for Stallworth, he could be banned for life for all I care. I just thin he should play for free, and do some free labor for killing a man. He'd still have the luxury of being free, but they could donate his salary to the family, or drunk driving education for youth.
