The shoes were on display in Houston at the Jordan Brand party. Partygoers there could place silent bids, and the highest bid through the weekend would be the starting price for the ebay auction.

I had many sources at the party, and I first reported the Jordan set going for $425,000. I can also confirm that the high bidder at the JB Party was Mark Cuban. Don't know about the rest of the items, but same thing. They were already silent bidded on during the weekend, and these are the starting prices.
