We can have exclusive news then
since the song is here and it's real?
peace.
Nah nothing exclusive, already been posted on a bunch of sites (and they posted it on GRIMM's site)
I think the diss track speaks for itself. GRIMM and DOOM go way back (DOOM got the 'MF' from GRIMM) and GRIMM feels betrayed.
This is what I know for sure:
There was a dispute between MIC and DOOM over money and DOOM not mastering some shit properly a while back. GRIMM said some shit about it in an interview and Megalon of MIC punched DOOM in the face at a show and some other shit went down. MIC and DOOM never patched things up but DOOM and GRIMM got back on friendly terms, they even did a show together.
Then outta nowhere DOOM disses MIC on the DangerDOOM album
"Once joined a rap click
Midgets
Into
Crunk
He did a solo on the oboe
Coulda sold a million then the Villain went for dolo
... and cited creative differences
Basically they hated, he left no jaded witnesses"
Which is of course a shot at MIC but it's also disrespectful towards GRIMM as MIC is his fam (he started the click) and you don't diss someone's crew if you're trying to patch things up. The second guy on the song (Mez aka Destroyah) mentions the diss so I think this was the final straw for GRIMM.
"Make peace with you? Zev (DOOM's old alias) I tried to"
What I'm not entirely sure off but is probably true:
GRIMM basically helped DOOM get back on his feet after DOOM lost his brother, lost his label deal, was homeless and was doing a bunch of drugs. He got him to the point (emotionally and financially) where he could record Operation: DOOMsday (original Fondle' Em Records version). But ever since DOOM got back on he started to change.
And more than likely some other shit happened as well.
I can't actually verify any of this (so take all of this with a grain of salt) but I think the diss track speaks for itself (you can hear it's not just a diss track) and there have been numerous reports of DOOM being shady and fucking people over so you can draw your conclusions.
Info about the track: Yeah it was played on the radio and it's since been put on GRIMM's record company's MySpace page in good quality.
Produced by DJ Crucial. Intro and hook done by BASHTON The Invizabul Man and second verse is by MF Mez aka Destroyah (both MIC members).
