Any1 training any MA? If yes, what are you training? N how do u feel training it? Ever used it in real life? ;)

when i was younger i took korean figthing style martial arts. i was an instructor and got to lead some classes. i should have had my black belt but they wouldnt let me test for it cause of my grades in school

If i trained in any MA i would do Muay Thai and then Ju Jitsu. Muay Thai for the stand up and ju jitsu it work on the ground. Sambo looks like an awesome MA as well

Back in the day I did Aikido and Judo. Last year I began Boxing and now I will try(:o) to start Muay Thai and Kickboxing. Time will tell if I survive the next few weeks, since I didnt really work out or did any sports for like 2 or 3 months :p

I train Taekwondo. Its kinda good plus i got individual trainings. But its too much kicking in it. I think ill change it to muay thay/ jiujitsu but im used to taekwondo so we'll see :p

kenpo is what i still do

i wanna start in muay thai but it's rather harsh training and it takes alot of focus and energy and healing time.

nunchaku or escrima were my favorite weapons, but in essence jeet is a street fighting discipline borrowing from all other styles, so it's a very fun style.

i have only used the arts once in a full on fight, but in letting people know that you're not one to mess with it's come into use more than a few times. parry a cheap shot and push the person back and they'll reconsider in most cases. fighting in public makes both people look stupid.

depends on your discipline. kata-based arts (like tae kwon do or akido) usually are too rigid for immediate translation to real world application. best practice for me was getting some kendo gear and just going at it full combat, no rules.

when it comes down to it, though, street situations aren't fair, and you never know when a gun, a knife, or six of the guy's friends are going to be introduced into the equation. it's better just to be jacked for your money instead of risking your life.

Thats true but when it were mostly 2vs.2 situations :/
In my city it happens much too often :/ Im not too rich to just give away my cash or phone. Usually nobody wears guns here.

Thats why i was thinking to change style to muay thay/ Brazilian jiu jitsu. Its better for real life situation. The minus is that after trainings ill have to walk with a pussy on my face :p

But i have to admit that when I came to my friend's kickboxing dojo n they had sparring, I thought ill test my skills wit em. My friend studies kickboxing for 2 years. I study taekwondo for 1 year n i kicked his ass :D he didn't even had a chance to hit me. But in real life situations he never lost. Thats weird

I wanna change my style but on tae kwon do ive got individual trainings next block. N the closest muay thay dojo is 30minutes from my block. I aint got time n im too lazy to go there :p i aint got car so i know i wont go there regularly :p

i've been wanting to get into Brazilian jiu jitsu for a long time. i was at a competition one time and watched a dude spare who was an instructor Brazilian jiu jitsu and Capoeira. him and a friend were bringing the style to the midwet. they had classes at a college in illinois and in the st.louis university city area. Capoeira is what i would really like to learn. that shit looks hard as fuck
