If a sicko that is about to stick his dick in a little kid knew that the penalty for committing this heinous crime was death, maybe he would think twice.

Probably not, plenty of people kill when they know there is a death penalty. Also, I know I'm going to get a lot of heat for this, but just know that I am not defending pedophiles. The thing that a lot of people don't understand about pedophiles is that they can't help what they feel. If you are attracted to women, do you think that you can be taught to not be attracted to them? Unfortunately, these people happen to have an attraction to young children. I don't think there is any way you can convince them not to be attracted to children. And since you can't just lock them up forever, what can you do? Of course I'm not talking about violent offenders, they usually just want to hurt someone, and children are the most vulnerable (And easiest) prey for these types of people. I'm talking more about the manipulators, usually family members or close "friends" of the family. And while I don't really agree with vigilante justice, there isn't much you can do about these people.

You can't compare normal attraction to a grown woman to preying on children. Society dictates acceptable behavior and you are comparing something acceptable with something that is not. I don't give a fuck how a pedophile feels. It doesn't matter. They can be attracted all they want, but if they act on it and violate a child, then they should die. You're right that these mother fuckers can't be taught to change. That is why they can't be rehabilitated and can't ever be trusted to walk free and do the right thing. The solution for those that act on these "feelings" is execution.

Just because it is not acceptable by society doesn't mean it isn't real to the person who is dealing with it. Of course it's wrong, and most pedophiles know this, but they feel overwhelmed by their urges. A lot of them do feel remorse for what they have done, but feel that they can't hep themselves. Most don't see it as preying on children. I would suggest that you read some of John Douglas' books, he touches on this a lot. (If you don't know who he is, he is a former profiler for the FBI, and one of the pioneers in criminal profiling.) I, like him, consider it to be a mental illness. Unfortunately it is an untreatable illness. But I agree with you, nothing short of death can really help these people.

I see this guys point...but something is seriously wrong with him too. You can't just go around killing people because u hate what they have done. And that letter proves he should be put in a mental institution. "KILL ME SO I CAN FUCK HIM UP IN THE AFTERLIFE!!!!!" = crazy, "I believe that all sex offenders who rape children under the age of 13 should be given the death penalty and I would like to do whatever I can, in my rights as a normal citizen of this county, to see this law passed" = not crazy.
