17 year-old Girl Charged With Shooting Husband

A 17 year-old girl is charged with pulling a gun out of a diaper bag and shooting her husband in the groin Friday.
Police say the girl and her husband, 21-year-old Deandre Whitworth, were traveling with their four month-old twins when they got into an argument. The pair pulled over at a Nashville convenience store where witnesses saw the man strike and kick his wife.
When Whitworth went into the store to ask the clerk to call the police, his wife began slashing the tires of their car.
Police say Whitworth took the children into the store. That's when his wife followed him inside, pulled a pistol out of a diaper bag and allegedly shot her husband.
The 17 year-old was arrested on the scene by police. She told detectives that the argument was about her request that her husband care for their children for a few days.
