Tupac Shakur already has bronze statue created in his likeness, but the demand for his wax figure was just too great for master wax sculptors Madame Tussauds to ignore.

As a result, the iconic image of Shakur shirtless and sporting a bandanna will be brought to life in the waxworks museum almost 10 years after his death. Adrian Jones, general manager of Madame Tussauds Las Vegas explained "We have received more requests from the public to immortalize Tupac than any other rap star…It is fitting that he will be the central figure in our new 'On Stage' attraction, which will offer the public a new high-tech system for enjoying the music of all the stars in the attraction.

We will have more information about the attraction at a later date.” Joining Tupac in the coming attraction – which aims to celebrate the extensive diveristy of music - will be Prince, Bono, Mick Jagger, Elton John, James Brown, Little Richard, Billy Idol and Elvis, as well as some who are yet to be announced.

Shakur was murdered on September 13, 1996, in Los Angeles as the result of a drive-by shooting. Since then a number of posthumous releases have found their way onto the charts, including 2005’s “Ghetto Gospel” with Elton John.
