what exactly do YOU think pac did for american society?

Swollen_Member said:So far in my lifetime I can't think of anyone who's had a bigger impact on society that Tupac. I mean mohammed ali, frank sinatra, elvis and malcom X were never alive when I was. Pac is the GOAT no doubts.![]()
Leech316 said:kman i agree with you
2pac is an extraordinary individual in my opinion
i think he was very special and gifted in many ways
but the question teacher asked was to name people who brought MAJOR IMPACT to the society
and pac didnt accomplish that in my opinion
but as i said the teacher should get shot for sayin "he did nothing"![]()
kman_69 said:i theres big gangs in Africa that call themselves "Thug Life" -and wear bandanas to the front like pac did....and the mans been dead for nearly 9 years!...if thats not impact i dont know what is....
kman_69 said:i mean the fact were still talking about him right now shows he had an impact.
You're right but you fail to realize when most black people get some fame they shy away from stuff that might get them into trouble like when Pac was going and speaking at the Malcolm X dinners and just speaking out against the gov't so you asked what did he do he spoke up for alot of people meaning if you're not one it's all good but not just taking shit and dealing with it because it don't affect him cause he got money but saying the youth is in trouble and no one else is going to help them not the gov't or anyone we take the inniative to do so he gave the people who people say wouldn't be shit cause we got into trouble some hope so look at his AMBITIONDante said:seriously, i see pac fans talking a bunch about how he changed the world, but they can never get beyond that. pac was a musician, and his music was used to provoke thought. pac was not an activist, a politician, or the traditional personality whom someone regards as a changer. mohammed ali changed america by refusing the draft and giving power to muslims in america with his refusal to acknowledge his former name, malcolm x and mlk obviously changed america quite a bit, and i think it cheapens their phlights to pair them in the same catagory as entertainers. pac had a voice, but at the end of the day he was a rap musician and not a social activist. i think your teacher is partially right, and you are as well.
pac definitely had potential as a future activist, but until the moment he died he was more of a commentator on the circumstances of the traditional american poor black youth.

Sheriff john brown always hated me,
For what, I don’t know:
Every time I plant a seed,
He said kill it before it grow -
He said kill them before they grow.
