Luther Vandross tragically passed awat July 1st 2005 form the debilitating heart stroke he had in April 2003. Now I know Vandross isnt exactly a rapper but he is still a Soul Legend and is one of the people who made R&B what it is today. Many rappers and R&B singers alike looked up to him as a musical influence and he is definately up there in the same category as Marvin Gaye and Barry White.

I only found out when I saw it on the front of The Vibe. Fuck knows how I never found out before. I live in England but they should have still had it on every front page!! None of my family knew about it either and my mum is quite a big Vandross fan.
