LuLu links to be blocked on 2Pacboard.com

Apparently, without my knowledge, some of you have been posting copywrited material using the LuLu service, and also posted on how to "cheat" their system. I have recieved the following email from LuLu representatives and as a result their URL will be blocked from the board to ensure that none of you can abuse their system again.

Anyone found trying to cheat the system will be banned.

Dear Sir(s),

It has come to our attention that there have been multiple acts of
possible copyright infringement through ********* originating from,
and/or referred from, the web site www.2pacboard.com. The attached file highlights a sample record of this purported infringement.

In addition, a review of the web site http://www.2pacboard.com provides several references that appear to encourage illicit use of *********'s services-- in particular the posting

which provides instructions on using ********* as a means of distributing free and possibly illegal content via the "file preview" option only, and sharing the preview link via your forums. It reads:

"Click on browse..NOW you dont need to upload the original mp3
especially if you have a slow upload rate. Just upload a small file,
like a .txt file, you will upload the mp3 in a few moments. Once you
have a file selected click on upload. Once uploaded click on Done."

It then goes on to state:

"Click on the word "Upload a preview here" Once you do that, it will
then ask for the file. Click browse and upload the full mp3 file you
want to host. Click on upload preview, now you wont get a status bar or anything just stay on this page until the screen changes, you will then notice a new hyper link appear in the Preview field, that is the link you are going to be sharing, you can right click the link, copy the link location and it and post it on the forums."

********* has taken action to remove the files in question. Most recently content IDs:

LuLu is meant to be a publishing server/store thing for people to upload and sell books, music, DVDs, whatever. You are meant to buy the products on LuLu, not put them on a preview so people can save target as. I think what lulu was worried about was the files shared using their server were illegal and perhaps copyright infringement, which some or most of the files being shared were. They just don't want to get in trouble with Amaru or whoever else's copyrighted property was used, because as Rukas just found out, Amaru will sue at the drop of a hat over pac.

What do you mean it doesnt make any sense? It makes perfect sense. Censoring the link to Lulu dot com is the only way I can stop everyone from using their links.

however, technically, all you have to do is post up a lulu link, open a new browser window, paste the url in the address window, replace the ************ with the url to LuLu and the links will still work, but can't be tracked to this site.. right?
