masta's thread inspired me to post this.

Who else thinks Luda is dope? I mean I think he is really really underrated. He really reminds me of Busta Rhymes, unique style and flow, dope lyrics, nice swagger and commercial appeal.

I dont think he gets the recognition he deserves as being a dope rapper.

nah im not a big fan at all. I like some of his songs but i feel that every album he has released is either average or little above. I do like his flow though. He does have a distinct voice as well.

He's nice to bump on parties or in a car but if it comes to just bumping him at home or on the go it's not my type of music. I like some of his songs though.
I also like that he's got his own, specific style.

I agree. Not only does he have a great flow but he is also unique. Not something you find everyday. He seems to be underrated because he gets a lot of mainstream plays and has the appeal.

He has a great flow and he is unique, but he is not consistent with his songs and albums. I never know if the next album will be great, average or shit. I used to like him a lot, nowadays he makes feel neither hot or cold.

id like to make you feel hot
sorry, had to say it.

anyways,
i used to have him in my top ten, when he released 'back for the first time' then his newer shit started to come out, and i was like, this is the same shit as last time. he has some underrated songs, like 'child of the night' and 'hopeless' as far as deep songs go, and some nice ones like 'who not me' for songs to ride to, but he just seems average to me, and the same song recycled over and over. luda only has three songs, but 20 variations of each song.

^^ His guest appearance on So Hood was the best verse on that DJ Khaled remix.

Yea but unlike Ludacris, Busta Rhymes has released some very good albums. His last album The Big Band was tight imo.

Big Bang was patchy like all of Busta's albums. It had a handful of tight tracks but not a great deal of replay value.

i could never really listen to a luda album properly. not really sure why. i think his singles were really good, but some of his other songs werent so appealing to me.

his greatest hits album will be really good, like missy elliott's respect m.e.

i do like luda. and i liked release therapy, but i think this new album wont be as good as his last.

Back for the first time, Word of Mouf, and Chicken-N-Beer are three REALLY good albums. Some tracks are skip-worthy but everything else is on point. Something VERY rare with albums these days.

His last two have been good, but not on par with neither of the previous three.

Also, like others have pointed out (Big ups to Casey and Thuggy for that), Luda excels at guest appearances.
